Long enough to believe the correct doctrine you don't believe. How long have you been a Christian, Solitude?
Yes, I did. So, do you understand what I am saying and asking? So, did you read the entire original post?
True Christians differ non-essential doctrines. While these doctrines can separate (e.g. denominations), they should never be used to cause division.

So your response shows you didn't read my entire post.Yes, I did. So, do you understand what I am saying and asking?
Are you suggesting that for each of the 'categories' listed - the category issue/topic itself is important but the details - "how you believe it" - are 'non-essential'...?
( I mean - after all - you have 'Salvation' in a list of things you have called 'non-essential'.)
As to "whether or not these are non-essential doctrines" - folks have posted saying that they believe "how you believe it" matters.
I am just trying to make sure I understand the crucial thing that you are trying to get across - and, how you are trying to present it.
Do you believe those who don't hold to proper eschatological doctrines are not Christians? Some extra eschatology viewpoints.
Preterism, Partial Preterism, Prewrath.
Do you believe those who hold to different water baptism doctrines are not Christians?Water baptism the type and the fulfillment being spiritual baptism.
Proper understanding required to be Christian?Spiritual Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit.
Proper understanding required to be Christian? On the topic of breaking the bread.
A big difference a thousand years ago was whether the bread is leavened or unleavened bread.
So is "flat Earth" a doctrine? All doctrine is essential - as being part of the truth of scripture - which we should all endeavor to correctly and properly understand and follow.
So your response shows you didn't read my entire post.
'Salvation' is in his list of 'non-essential' doctrine(s).I would suggest that many “doctrines” are distinctly non-essential, because they neither confirm nor deny one’s salvation. The issues identified in the OP are in that category.
Do you exclude others that don't agree with your eschatological viewpoint?I did read your post.
You said to add any doctrines you may have not been aware of.
Eschatology, the return of Jesus is one of the primary doctrines in Christianity.
Must I believe in a flat earth to be saved?'Salvation' is in his list of 'non-essential' doctrine(s).
Did he not indicate that the [whole] list was/were "non-essential doctrines"...?
How are we supposed to interpret that in the context of what was written in the OP?
EDIT: Okay - well - he presented his list and asked the question as to whether each item in the list is 'non-essential' or not.
Eschatology is not a doctrine but a field of study. There are many contradictory theories within the field. The only "doctrine" about which most Christians agree is that Jesus is coming back.I did read your post.
