You can't make it known until God takes the bong out of the unbelievers mouth. You are talking to a fence post until God Sovereignly saves them....your words are pointless to an unbeliever.....according to reformed/calvie/tulip theory.

You guys have spent countless posts trying to convince us of this theory.

The Gospel @Rufus.

This is your witness for countless posts.....Eat, drink and be merry. You cannot believe the Gospel. God may or may not step in and sovereignly save you.

When was the last time you reformed/calvie/tulip folks witnessed for the Lord Jesus Christ on this thread? You know, the NAME of salvation, The Lord Jesus Christ.

Over and over and over again you witness to unbelievers.......NOTHING.

If I had know you were an unbeliever, I would have shared the gospel with you. I thought everyone here was a professing Christian. Apparently not, though, heh?

I once met a man like Rufus.
He was standing in front of me across the desk with his wife.

I said simply said something explaining how something was done where I work.
Immediately, he got all upset and walked away.

His wife left standing in front of me quietly learned over and told me...
"He thinks he is always right and hates to be wrong."
It was pathological.

I learned something that day.
People like that exist.
That is why Rufus in no mystery to me.

It makes no sense otherwise!
It's very interesting to watch and read.

We will get a string of 50-60 posts from the reformed/calvie/tulip theory.....That man can do nothing and know nothing about the Gospel of HIS salvation.

The man is just walking down the street, picking up ladies of the night, drinking his beer and smoking some whacky weed and BAM God Sovereignly saves his proud, arrogant and know nothing butt.

Only then can the Gospel be known to that man.

And then they preach..........God gives Grace only to the humble.

INSANITY.

If I had know you were an unbeliever, I would have shared the gospel with you. I thought everyone here was a professing Christian. Apparently not, though, heh?
And yet, you still didn't share the Gospel with me.

You guys have no heart for the lost. You are too wrapped up in your flesh and theory.

Why don't you ask a fellow-FWer who can share his perverted version of the gospel with you? I bet CV5 has a super-duper Adamic version he'd love to share with you.

So is the Serpent's "seed" singular, even though we know from scripture that the Evil One has many offspring. So what is your point?
the singular Seed of the woman refers to the Lord Jesus Christ.
the singular seed of the serpent refers to the devil.

The battle is a spiritual battle about which we only know what is revealed in Scripture. We don't see the actual battle ... we only see the consequence of the spiritual wickedness in high places. God has provided for us all that is needed (the whole armor of God) in order to stand and withstand strong in faith. However, we are to put on the armor of God in order to stand, withstand, strong in faith, then pray (Eph 6:17). The actual battle takes place in a realm we know so little about. Prayer is the most underutilized tool in the arsenal of the believer. Some folks get it ... but for the most part, prayer is used as a last resort in the life of the believer. sad fact.

Rufus said:
Also, the singular for the "seed of the woman" makes sense since God's elect (Christ's Body) were in Him all eternity.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the sole Savior of mankind. you cannot be the sacrifice for sin as you were sinful prior to being born again.

Believers stand before God as blameless ... only because of the believer's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ ... not because we do not stumble at times. And when we stumble, we get up, we confess our sin to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin.

The Messiah and His Body are ONE!
In Matt 16 when Jesus asked His disciples "whom say ye that I am?" (vs 15) and Peter answered "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (vs 16), Jesus said "thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church" (vs 18) ... "will build" = future tense which indicates His church was not yet in existence.

Rufus said:
Just as God decreed enmity between the serpent and the woman's one seed, likewise the devil is the adversary also of Christ's Body (1Tim 5:14; 1Pet 5:8).
so? ... greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Acts 2:46-47 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

How can these believers be "added" to the body of Christ since, according to you, "God's elect (Christ's Body) were in Him all eternity"?

Born again ones are added to the church, the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, at the time they are born again ... not before ... and definitely not in eternity past.

IMO, The Lord Jesus Christ is sorely missed in their reformed/calvie/tulip theory.
One I know for certain always uses His conversations strictly to the Disciples and no one else as if he was there himself.

Of course he was. I showed recently at least 5 ways in which Adam is a type of devil!
and I've told you that your belief system has "a type of the devil!" in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ ... which I'm sure satan just loves that! you are in error and I pray you will humbly submit to the truth of Scripture concerning Gen 3 ... the very beginning days of mankind ... your error skews your understanding of Scripture concerning mankind.
.

I know those who hold to the Serpent Seed Doctrine believe Cain ,the offspring of Eve and the Serpent, was the spawn.
Which is why Election and Efficacious Grace are in God's own words.
To call out from the mass of humanity those who are not of the serpent.
Cain was the offspring of Adam and Eve ... not the serpent.

Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

and God told Cain in Gen 4:7 that if Cain would do well, he would be accepted ... so I don't buy into the notion that the only response natural man can have to Scripture is as stated by some who have posted in this thread. We know from the record that Cain suppressed the truth in unrighteousness and rejected what God said, but that does not mean all natural men will and/or do the same.

When the truth of God's Word is spoken to a natural man, he or she either believes and receives the blessing promised ... or he or she suppresses the truth in unrighteousness and receives the consequence. Gen 3:22 states clearly that mankind can know both good and evil. Some believe only half of that verse and claim that natural man can only know evil.

What I do agree with is that mankind would know nothing of God if not for God reaching out to mankind. And God reveals Himself through creation ... through the Scriptures which He had His faithful believers write ... through faithful believers preaching the truth of God's Word.

I've no knowledge of Rufus stating such a thing about Adam.

This is not to say he didn't post something like that. It's to say I didn't read anything like that or could have missed it if Rufus did write it.
yeah ... I'm not sure when you joined the thread ... Rufus and I discussed Adam and Eve back in July.

Edit:Leaving my initial post as is. I was writing that while in the midst of being interrupted by chores at home.
I committed to post and then saw Rufus' post.

No,I don't agree with him that Adam was the spawn of Satan.
That's, in my view,blasphemy.
well, it's certainly grievous error as the understanding of Scripture is skewed from Gen 3 ... the very beginning ... yikes.

hope/pray all chores are done ... and you've got energy left to enjoy your evening.

For your info "FTFY" acronymn has been around on computers practically since the inception of PCs! Do you remember when forums like these used to be called "bulletin boards"?

And you're right that I'm not like all other people. When God made me, he broke the mold!
nothing wrong with being unique ... however, it's best to behave like a Holy Spirit led unique one.

Rufus said:
And why do you have to lie about me about me stating often that I'm "so extremely 'humble'? I have explained multiple times HOW God gives grace only to the humble -- and the most humble servant of God whoever lived was Christ! Therefore, God's grace to the elect comes through their Federal Head.
do you think you're humble because the Lord Jesus Christ was humble?

We are to follow His example ... here's something Paul wrote about how we are to behave toward others:

Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Rufus said:
But of course...you'll be far too proud to apologize to me for lying about me!
I did not lie ... how many times have you told all who have posted on this thread that you are humble?
.

Yeah...well...this "kid" was wise enough and smart enough to know that God was the Husband of Old Covenant Israel. What's your excuse for your ignorance Mr. Wanna-be Wise Old Sage?

There you go again.

"I did not lie ... how many times have you told all who have posted on this thread that you are humble?"

Meaning of "Wackadoo"
Wackadoo is a slang term that is used as both an adjective and a noun.
As a Noun: A crazy person; a wildly eccentric, irrational, or fanatical person. It is synonymous with "wacko" or "oddball."
Example: "That guy is a real wackadoo with his conspiracy theories."
As an Adjective: Crazy, wacky, strange, or absurd.
Example: "The whole plan was totally wackadoo."
The term is generally mildly dismissive or amusing rather than a severe insult.

Agree, for me, as well, is the impact of this faulty soteriology on evangelism.

Agree, there is NO Good News in the Tulip/Calvie/Reformed theory at all!!

The big "aha" moment for me on this thread was how they would share the Good News to a non-believer, the message was completely impoverished of its full weight.

As you have stated many times it has to be that way, because God may not have that person on the salvation "list."

As well, they create walls of text, removed from the surrounding context, arguing that the central the message of the Bible for all humanity is that god has created a special people before time, selected for spiritual salvation and He hates all the others.

If that was God's message to humanity I am pretty sure He could have done it in 50 words or less and could pin the message to the sky so there would be no doubt.

This soteriology needs to be rooted out, it is tragic.

You mean salvation isn't found in Adam -- scripture's super-duper, altruistic, self-sacrificing hero. I wonder why that is... :coffee:

The hard-core super-determinists manifest a very disturbing spectrum of......behaviors and attitudes. It runs the gamut from extreme to subtle, but very common.

[Luk 18:11 KJV]
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

The subtle is most disturbing. :(

I also find the attempts to repackage Calvinism, trim off the rough edges, make it more palatable, also something people need to be very aware of... tis true Calvinism appeals to the flesh >>>> "I was uniquely regenerated so that I could believe, I am specially chosen to receive this gift."
