Genesis 2:15 esv
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

At one time God's intention was that man and the Lord would work together to care for His creation.

It is a beautiful image of the desired relationship between man and God.

But not only that but God understood the heart of man and the vast difference of an all-holy and glorious God.

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Man in our current state could never relate to God in His state of glory. So He made woman, a perfect helper or perfect in the one who completes him and him who completes her.

Both were made to care for the Garden in Eden. Both are made to be in a close relationship with each other and the Creator.

There is much agriculture where I live and most who have grown up in these parts have been involved in agriculture in some way somehow.

It reminds me of the garden and the paradise to come. A relationship so important to God to give the couple such a position to work with and in the midst of God.

They were and still are the joy of His creation. The fall never stopped God in the plan of atonement.

The man and woman as a captivating image that God provided through marriage. A relationship that should reflect the closeness of God and human. Man and woman completes whereas God completes the man. A truine relationship designed from the very beginning.

We will return to this closeness in the new garden known as the new Earth. A whole world to walk with God and work with God. The beauty here is only but a shadow of the beauty to come.

Like a sweet image of an ultrasound we feel love and get an idea of what is to be, but only once the birth pains have ended, will we see the true beauty to come.
