Being decisive is very difficult if one has a division in loyalties. This division can easily disrupt our moral and spiritual guidance.

It is impossible to set sail with one foot left on the dock. Torn between the past and the future. Torn between safety or divine providence.

Some lines are not to be crossed. Some hills are worth dying on. Some truths are so detrimentally important that to waver is as if to send off the unaware wandering in a minefield.

We as Christians must not waver in our faith. We must not be Peter in the moment of testing, that we deny our Savior. And if it be so, may it forever change us as Christ forgave Peter. Scripture tells us, we can not serve two masters.

Matthew 6:24
New International Version
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Choose today where you will stand so when the day comes, you need not think but only react.

This is a lovely post, belief in the LORD hit me like a bolt from the blue March '24. I knew the world was going to hell in a handcart and there was nowt we could do about it, it was amazing to realise there was a big guy upstairs who knew exactly how to sort it all out.

So hope i don't lose the faith and joyous wonder i feel now, also hope the LORD will wake my children up too.

My coming to Christ was similar like a bolt. Very much shook me to my core. I pray for your children I know that is the burden we as parents carry no matter what age the kids. Either the weight to consistently expose them to Christ or the burden knowing they are yet believers. Theologically we know that the weight isn't for us to carry but emotionally it is hard to surrender it to the Lord.

That's a lovely comment and so true friend, hope all's good with you and yours. There is spiritual interest with my daughter but like most people who don't understand how badly the evil going down since '20 is affecting them; the LORD might need to apply a boot to her backside to get her going. She's one of the important managers in the big company she works for too, a heavy workload and much responsibility mean she's more up for some wine before bed than seeking the Lord.

You're so right, as with other things when they're mature enough to make their own choices, parents just have to accept that, no matter how much it hurts. Definitely still have hope, i'm a newish Christian myself, belief in the LORD hit me like a bolt from the blue in March '24. Similar could happen with her which would be great, she is a powerful influence on her brothers and the most likely to spark spiritual interest out of them all.

Hope all's good with you and your lovely family, think you mentioned a support group in your other recent post. If you have the time, i'd like more information about that, i'm a good counsellor who's very practically minded too, so might be useful sometimes.

God's blessings and hugs from me to you all for now 🕊️

That is wonderful!! That is always start. We can keep praying because the seeds planted could easily take root anyday, any moment.

Oh yeah I saw your bio said you were new to the faith although I wouldn't have guessed it.

That would be amazing. Powerful and miraculous things have happened when a mother consistently praye for her children.

That would be nice. I was needing it as well. I was hoping the forum would help those struggling but so often topics get lost as new topics constantly are released.

God's blessings and hugs from me to you all for now 🕊️

Thank you! You as well.

So glad you have a well deserved 4 day break coming up, you'll have more energy for some special time with your family. Things could be tough when we had a young family but nothing compared to how bad it is now. Truly think it's intentionally tough for parents now, to deny them important time and influence with their children, it sickens me.

Cheers for being so positive about my daughter's potential, several times i've thought she'd go for it this time, to be disappointed again. I won't give up hope, she does ring or visit for spiritual chats sometimes, which makes me think there really is potential there. You really are putting effort in to offering support here, think bumping important threads with a quick message occasionally might be helpful?

Blessings and hugs to you all again for now precious friend 🕊️

Amen to that. My kids want me to set up the projector so they can watch movies under the stars. So I hoping the weather holds up.

You are doing great to be there for your daughter when those questions arise. That is so important and probably more lasting than you realize.
