Hello @Jase, I like different verses for different reasons. I am particularly fond of verses that have so much to say and yet use so little ink to do so (like my signature line verse, for instance, where the Lord summarizes the entirety of the OT for us, the "Law & the Prophets", in the first half of the verse).

So, I start with that one (best known as "The Golden Rule").

Matthew 7
12 However you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

God bless you!!

~Deuteronomy

Here's another verse that I am quite fond of, with a very important point that the Lord not only seems determined to make to us, but one that He is determined that we clearly understand, as well (since He makes the same, basic point in several different ways in the verse (so the none will miss it), as well telling us to take special note of what He is about to say via the words of His opening phrase, "Truly, truly" / "Verily, verily" / "Amen, amen", depending on the translation).

John 5
24 ā€œTruly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.ā€

~Deuteronomy

I have many favorite verses/passages, so I'll continue with a few more (if that's ok, @Jase?). That said, if I had to name just one, this one would be it.

John 3
16 God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

~Deuteronomy

Ephesians 4
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment,
that it may give grace to those who hear.

James 1
19 Let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

Ecclesiastes 3.."There is a time for everything
Ecclesiastes3-1-8s.png

Ecclesiastes 3 verses 1-8 To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to count as lost, a time to keep and a time to discard, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

COLOSSIANS 2
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2 verses 13-14 ~ When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross!

Ezekiel 22:30-31.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

I am that man.

How I missed this before, Idk....In Mark 9:23, Jesus tells a desperate father, "If you can?" Everything is possible for one who believes". Jesus challenges the father's doubt by asserting that belief removes "ifs" and unlocks God's ability to act. This verse highlights that while Jesus is always able, He acts in response to the trust and faith of a believer, underscoring that all things are possible when one trusts in Him.
Hallelujah what a great truth from JesusāœšŸ™šŸ™Œ

one of my favorite passages would be Paul's address to the Roman church.... the last half of chapter 7, and the first part of chapter 8...
I won't copy/paste the whole thing, but this gives the gist of it... about sin, and the law, and our release from both...

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.[a] 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you[b] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,[c] he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:23 24
23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children] including the new bodies he has promised us.
24 We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it.../NLT
