Yeah, we all saw the dumpster fire and how it went on and on and on. I certainly do not agree with things she said either and the poo sandwich was over the top.

Well now when someone tells a woman to be quiet and go make him a sandwich and a meal while discussing, I tend to think that deserves an answer in kind. And that wasn't only said one time. The poster continued. Then said I "hate my husband" and that my husband "had no where to hide" from me. My husband happens to be very ill at the moment and is facing major surgery. Anyone who knows me here, and especially in the singles forum, knows about my husband. I married at an older age and have encouraged singles to hold on and wait for the person God will send to you like he did me. So maybe you can understand why, after several times of being told to be quiet and make the poster food and the jibe at me hating my husband, a person would get fed up and clap back. I did not start the argument. But unfortunately this is where we land when churches do not properly teach men how to be men, then the result is misogyny.

Yes. We all saw it and even read some of it. I don't think it is up to churches to teach men how to be men. Or women. I think that develops in your relationship with God. However I will agree that we do absorb what is taught in a church and if the pastor is of the same attitude or says women should all just shut up, then I guess that is what y'all are gonna get...sadly a good number of men receive that very well. I am not that woman either and my husband basically was brought up that way but he's learned a whole other way to be. We are at peace. :)

I am going to pray for your husband.

Paul wasn't particularly fond of women.

In the OT women were not one with men,or their spouse. So yes,in a way,it does espouse mysogyny.

There are some Christian women i know that enjoy being lesser to men, obedient to men no matter what, second class slaves, because they think it biblical.

The old wedding vows in the U.S use to pronounce the couple, man and wife.
Women couldn't work, vote, inherit,in this "free" country at one time.
All supposedly based on biblical principles.

Old wedding vows”?? Why would they change? lol
God hasn’t changed and His word hasn’t changed, so I’m confused with your comments?

The old vows weren't in line with the oneness that occurs when a man and woman become wed. The two be one one. Husband and wife.

While the old vows identified the woman as the wife partner and left the mans identity unchanged. Man and wife.

It's interesting to think that the Holy Ghost Inspired in the Gospels the account about the feeding of the 4,000 and 5,000 men. We clearly know women and children were present so those numbers could easily be somewhere close to 12,000 and 15,000 human beings Jesus miraculously fed with extremely insignificant portions to begin with.

But the question here is did the Holy Ghost Inspire the Gospel writers to only mention men or was this done by the writers themselves?

This verse states ALL Scripture came from Him.

-“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Idk, I guess I’m not understanding what you’re trying to say.(?) To me, they haven’t changed. I’ve never heard of anyone defining them as “Old vows.”

Counter point: No one should be allowed to vote. Look at how dumb people are, why should the uneducated public be allowed to decide anything?

A piece of paper doesn’t make you educated or smart!! Lol

Ik of plenty of highly educated people who are short in the marble dept….

If it read, 5,000 cattle were fed, we'd assume that cows were included with the bulls in the feeding of that specific species. What did they call a herd of people in biblical times?

In the NKJV, He called them “multitude(s)”.

Looking up the definition of "ism" will give you an idea besides offering a few synonyms with links to their corresponding definitions.

Women and children were much like the Muslim beliefs of today, a man's personal property.

Whenever a number of men are given it never includes property. That is assumed knowledge.

I should have been more humble. So I'm sorry, ok?

If I said anything to you that just cant be true then you can be sure that I was speaking in humor. I had no way of knowing that your husband is ill. I'm sure sorry to hear that and I can pray for him.

If you were Jew it would make sense to you how the ancestors did it then.
