Here again, you cannot prove from scripture that Paul told Timothy to drink alcohol.

Grapes have numerous health benefits and alcohol has ZERO health benefits
.
I can prove the wine spoken of is alcoholic. First because you couldnt make grape juice back then, and the Bible plainly says:

1 Timothy 3:8
In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain.

Not indulging in much wine, that should settle it. Or is it not indulging in too much grape juice? Gotta look out for that.

All due respect brother, I wouldn't drink alcohol while going through gastric distress such as an upset stomach.

Alcohol
1. Is a toxin that the liver must remove. Most of the time an upset stomach is a reaction to toxins. That's why the body want to vomit. It's the mechanism for quickly removing the poison. That which is in the intestines is expelled ASAP by diarrhea.
Adding more toxins won't improve the situation.

2. It irritates the stomach lining, not sooth it. You will be adding a strong irritant, again making it worse. Whether you drink strong drink or alcoholic wine, it's not like drinking milk. It's astringent that the nerves in the mouth lining detect so that's why people scrunch up their faces when they drink alcohol.

3. It kills beneficial gut microbes. This upsets the balance in the intestines. Guess what helps detoxify in addition to the liver?
Bacterial in the intestines. When people take poisons like antibiotics for example, they are killing off the innumerable gut microbes that make up much of the immune system and detoxify the harmful bacterial wastes.

The only healthy use that I am able to think of for oral consumption of alcohol is for things like extracts. I need to harvest plants right away. The beneficial components of the plants will be extracted with grain alcohol or vinegar. A solvent is needed to extract and to preserve the compounds God made. Then it is taken by the dropperful, but not so much as to stress the liver or kill colonies of microbes in the intestines.
These will be my natural bioavailable supplements and for external injuries, etc.

If you are experiencing upset stomach, I may be able to help.

Be well and blessed

-"He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart."
Psalms 104:14-15 NKJV

MEDICINAL

-"No longer drink only water, but use a little winefor your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities."
I Timothy 5:23 NKJV

Fresh grape juice...

10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:
11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup,
and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

Correct, but most can't have just one. One little drink will lead to two, three, etc.

1. Man take drink
2. Drink take drink
3. Drink take man

If one never drinks, he'll never become an alcoholic. Why even test it.

What part of this do you not understand: God permits, therefore it's not for you to judge those who drink in moderation. You have no idea what everyone else can and cannot do. Maybe concentrate on you.

Believe in what God said; men are always making statements about something or other, but you can take what God said to the bank!

-"He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart."

I'm talking about real credible health benefits, others are a possibility

But one thing to bare in mind here is alcohol ethanol can make the brain produce a happy type of adrenaline

But at same time if your drinking whilst your happy you may get to happy.

If your drinking whilst your sad then it's possible that alcohol could actually in crease that negative sadness and make the brain produce more negative adrenaline.

A person producing more negative adrenaline may get really sad and start to talk about there problems, which could be a good thing.

Thanks for the advice. I do concentrate on me. I have enough issues, and I'm not judging anyone. Personally, I have never known anyone who has just one.

I don't have enough berries or grapes this year to make juice. If I did, I sure would be happy. 😊

When I was a teenager drinking fermented wine and strong drink, I always had a counter response called a hangover. Alcohol is even classified as a depressant.
That's why I believe the interpretation of that verse is not God's will for believers to be inebriated.

When I bought some organic Cranberry Juice on clearance for a fraction of the price, I knew I'd make some pill pusher poorer. We won't be wanting their long hospitals stays with deadly IV drips of powerful antibiotics.
I was so happy that as soon as any of us has the first symptoms of an UTI, we just drink a jar and go about our day.

Same here.
I just want to help people feel better. I know what it's like to be sick. My health collapsed under all that stress I've gone through for two years. I just want to be a blessing when needed.

You say you're not judging, but claiming to know what most people cannot do is judging them, and unfairly so. Your personal experience is not a universal truth, you know? Depending on weight, metabolism, and time, a person can safely have a few drinks and still be well within moderation.

I put as per my experience and the people I know....yes, I know it's not a universal truth. Safely have a few drinks? Three drinks is probably considered intoxicated. I teach a driver's ed course including drugs and alcohol. Intoxicated is not how you feel, but blood alcohol concentration.

Whenever I have a stomach or GI problem, I would drink some ACV in water. It seems to feel better. All fermented foods are medicinal for health; they help in the stomach and GI track. Europeans have it right in that they drink wine with their foods; it aids in the digestion.

I’m pretty sure this is why Jesus told us to drink a little wine (1 Tim. 5:23). It’s both healthy and beneficial for digestion.

And why even tempt fate? No matter who I am talking to, I want to be able to say, I do not consume alcohol at all. I never want to be the cause of someone stubbling.

I would say that depends on the individual…. Know yourself, as in everything!

That’s fine for you! But what you can’t say is that it is a sin; otherwise you would be sinning by adding to His word.

Don’t call what is good, bad!

Is wine a mocker?

Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Question: If alcohol were taken out of society, would we be better off?

By that reasoning, you would have to bring in foods too…. Illogical. Some foods are detrimental to people….. Why stop there?

I don’t like a lot of music here in the U.S. Maybe we should say it’s a sin to listen to this kind of music? Aye? This kind of logic is never ending…..

Again from Scripture we read:

-"He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart."
