The True Israel, the Church are those people who have Abraham’s spiritual faith regardless of their ethnicity Gal 3:7,26-29
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

This parable I believe set forth the end of national israel as a nation, losing their Covenant standing once and for all,

You know what's fascinating about this whole subject is that the shorter the time gets according to the signs of the times how many excuses people have to not accept what is right in front of their eyes. I wonder why?
Regardless of what they have brought to this table to defend their position its very clear that this so called modern Israel is not wanted. Wonder why?
To say that the church replaces Israel is to say that God failed to redeem and restore as he said he would. That the regathering of his people in to the land of their fathers never to be uprooted again is a myth.
To say we also are the seed of Abraham should also be null and void since Abraham is directly connected to Israel.
That Jesus himself now has disconnected from his bloodline and heritage. That the grafted in branches have now dominated the stem of Jesse.
Paul talks about uniting not replacing. JESUS himself is of the same mind. All are one. So where is the replacement?
Are you saying that the church is a nation? The church is found all over the world let's define nation.

Many believe this speaks of ethnic national israel over in the middle east, but that is far from the truth. The Holy Nation here is non other than the Body of Christ, the Church comprised of both jew and gentile converts, believers. How do i know this ? Well its by scripture comparison, this same Holy Nation here in 1 Pet 2:9 is called also in Vs 5
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Its called a Spiritual House which has reference to the Temple/Tabernacle of God of God, which is Spiritual.
Now this same epithet is used for the Church in Eph 2:19-22
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Spiritual House of 1 Pet 2:5 and the Holy Temple/Habitation of God through the Spirit of Eph 2:21,22 are the same !
And if that be so, the Church, comprised of both reconciled jew and gentile converts of Eph 2 is the Holy Nation of 1 Pet 2:9

Also in the very next verse Peter says they were not a people, but are now the people of God, which is a direct reference to Hosea's prophecy about God's new holy nation
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:10
Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Hosea 1:10
Fulfillment theology I like that yeah that's the ticket Fulfillment theology.
