continue reading to see to whom the Lord Jesus Christ extends His invitation ...

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

it is an open invitation to all who are laboring ... basically all mankind ...

It still does not say that Jesus reveals God to all, but those He chooses.

Read more carefully: No one knows the Father except those Jesus chooses. Try again?

Your translation says that, the KJV uses "the". Here is the actual Greek word:

metron
  1. measure, an instrument for measuring
    1. a vessel for receiving and determining the quantity of things, whether dry or liquid
    2. a graduated staff for measuring, a measuring rod
    3. proverbially, the rule or standard of judgment
  2. determined extent, portion measured off, measure or limit
    1. the required measure, the due, fit, measure

I'm looking at the Greek for the KJV. There is no THE

Just out of curiosity, where in scripture did you read that believing (or belief) is tested as you said above that it is
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

John 15 verse 16 plus from 1 Peter 2 verse 9 ~ You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit— fruit that will remain— so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a people to proclaim the virtues of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Welcome to the sick Dark World of FWT! But, brother, look at the bright side: When we see and interact with people like these, we have even more reason to thank, praise and glorify God for setting us free from human traditions by Christ and his Word; for it weren't for his efficacious grace we'd be as lost as they are.
hey Rufus, I've been away for 5 days, I wondered if Rufus was your really name.

I think the poster may never have saw my intension correctly, but anyway comments made 5 days ago mean nothing to me now, in the sense of letting them upset me.

But they still mean something in the sense that I feel a senses of empathy for a person being consumed by religious abuse,

It's Diffacult to know really if a person consumed by religious hatred is a person who has been inflicted by it also, I guess I'm still learning on that one, but I believe I'm mature enough to learn.

So but the poster may not have fully realised, I had identified key traits in people consumed by religious hatred, after studying people's attitudes on YouTube, all with the same issues which was having issues with imaginary false idols.

But what all these people didn't realise was, they never should have been having issues with false idols, because what they where believing was all false.

It's a bit sad because they then encourage everybody else to have issues, with something that really shouldn't have became an issue, but then they get more of an issue, because you can't even talk to them about it without it leading to arguing about religious hatred.

Yep I think the poster didn't realise I was analysing real people's attitudes and characters and how they can become, I think he thought I was making it up or something.

Which may happen to a normal person too.

Anyways what's been and gone as gone.

Moving forward

What's your views on a pricked conscience being a type of enabling grace also.

Does the Lord Jesus Christ withhold revealing His Father from any who accept His invitation to come to Him?

Matthew 11:27-30 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Romans8-29-30-Ephesians1-5.png

Romans 8 verse 29-30; Ephesians 1 verse 5 ~ Those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will.

God is the ONE who selected how much faith each person gets. That is the measuring of Faith Paul is talking about.

John 6 v 45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.

okay then the "the measure" is implied and my mistake for characterizing it otherwise - an oversight on my part. The "the" is implied in two different translations. Nevertheless, the "the" doesn't materially change the meaning of that part of the verse - it still means to measure, not have a measure.

[Rom 12:3 KJV] 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

[Rom 12:3 ESV] 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

I do not what ? consider you a "chosen one" ... or consider myself a "chosen one" ?

slow your roll, man ... I'm going to answer the questions in your post 16,901 ...
.

Yes, I asked yesterday if you consider yourself to be a chosen one since you say that I am not.

It wasn't that He knew who would believe because no one of themselves will/can believe. Instead to His chosen people - those He chose before the foundation of the world - those He gives faith and belief to.

I can find nowhere in the bible where faith is called a gift.

Laborers group #1

Mat 20:1
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
Mat 20:2
“Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Laborers group #2

Mat 20:3
“And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
Mat 20:4
“and said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went.
Mat 20:5
“Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
Mat 20:7
“They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.’

*************************************************************************

Jos 9:25
“And now, here we are, in your hands; do with us as it seems good and right to do to us.”

******************************************************************************************

All of this utterly destroys this determinism nonsense BTW.

"Determinism" isn't the point to the parable. But God's sovereign right to do as He wills with what is His is the central point.

I can find nowhere in the bible where faith is called a gift.
It's not because God gave every living human being a measure of Faith. The Reformed denies this because this is how the spiritually dead person is able to believe in God before Regeneration. But they're able to believe because God created the human being with a measure of Faith and that human being is able to use it to believe.
