Well now, I find it more than interesting how that Lester needed little to no assistance with these prompt expulsions of those spirits, whereas exorcist, Bob Larson's many encounters (whom he forces each spirit to tell him what there name is) nearly always calls on assistance, having been assaulted a few times out of thousands. BL differs from LS in that BL also forces the spirit to name how long and what justification that spirit or spirits had for taking residence, gets the sufferer to renounce and agree to deliverance beforehand.

We have dominion over the forces of darkness we have the authority of Christ so while catholic exorcist have to chant scripture over and over and have to go through days on end of battling the demon and possessed we who know this authority and stand in it are able to cast them back to the depths of hell often times without assistance.

That's from Mark 1 and the spirit wasnt lying! It recognized Jesus so Jesus told it to shut up so it wouldnt say too much about Him?

Be quiet actually translates better to, be Muzzled, so the Lord blocked his powers of speech, lol!

I'm sure you remember that lady who followed the Apostles for a time, openly proclaiming ''These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” A counterfeit evangelical of counterfeit convictions that had to be brought to heal. Like Satan, these spirits roam and are privy to more of our convictions than we dare admit such as the case in Sceva's house using Jesus' name. Wasn't it a sorcerer who tried to buy the gift of a Christian's power? The simplicity is not lost. We come to Him as babes who can also see it, glory to God.

I think it was towards the 80's, 90's maybe, there was a huge interest in the demonic and how to deal with demons. Any number of books were put out with instuctions and what not, also including prayers. There were also alot of uniblical approaches to the entire subject, such as go to the top of a high rise building because you will be able to have better success as you are closer to God (I kid you not) and then all the marches supposedly getting rid of demons associated with certain areas. That is just not in scripture.

I think Pac-fit answered you, but those men who were beat up by the demons they tried to exercise, were not believers. They had zero authority no matter what they said. Our actual authority, as believers, is only in Jesus as you say.

And it's very true because I sat through at least 2 10 week courses about recognizing, dealing with, casting out demons. I listened to his multiple experiences first hand and the one that stuck with me was the one where the demons would bite from within and you could see the teeth markings from the outside of the body [on the body].

My Grandfather was an evangelist and I traveled with him and we saw many of these issues that Sumrall described. We always used the original name of Yeshua when casting demons out. None of this dramatic Catholic dogma took place. Typically some screaming and what sounded like doors slamming when they would exit.

But if you are saved covered with the protective protection of the Blood of Yeshua [hedge of protection think Job] demons will recognize you before you understand the Holy Ghost Discernment. Once you speak with the Authority as a Joint-Heir and Child of the MOST HIGH GOD in the Name of Yeshua the entities will exit within a short span of time.

We must not have been too far apart? I still reside there. Back in the 70s, (before my spiritual life in Christ took off), Lester had no shortage of 'Christian' foe. But you could still hear of those miles from his Church, how he would venture to homes 'cold' with a knock at the door inviting folks to come.

But say what they will, aside from the technique, there is a faint resemblance of the fundamentals of Jesus power for the believer,

For the Catholic, ''Liberation, , requires continuous prayer, conversion and sacramental life.
Protestant Bob Larson rest on the Spirit's lead, the sword of the spirit, prayer, followed by conversion.

I became interested more in casting out demons because, I'm 63 and been an epileptic since I was about 4 or 5. At first I supposedly grew out of it, and they even took me off the medication and I remained seizure free for 18 years. However! during those years I was a recreational pot smoker. I liked hearing that being a pot smoker helped epileptics, but that was just an excuse for recreational use. After being seizure free for 18 years, I decided I want to quit smoking pot. It's a young man thing, eh. I like being clear headed. so I quit smoking pot. 3 days later I had my first seizure in 18 years. Trip to hospital, eeg, get back on meds, start smoking pot again, I guess it really does help!! Oh well but I am a medicinal user now. I know how often I have to smoke to keep it in my system. Between meds and smoking pot again I remained seizure free for 11 more years! I was thinking, I want to quit smoking pot again, is it ok? I'm on good medication now and maybe the pot thing was just a fluke? so I quit smoking pot again. (wasnt walking with the Lord yet).
4 days later I had another seizure. This time I was driving on the highway at 70 mph during rush hour. Rolled my new truck 3 times, hit a tree, busted up my back. (The Lord saved me, a whole testimony goes with that!)

so the first time I tried quitting pot, I had a seizure in 3 days. The 2nd time I quit smoking it was 4 days later I had the seizure. So it's safe presume it was not a Fluke! I was even on medication for it for this seizure!

So long story short, I have come full circle on this and have been ready to treat my condition as an evil spirit now. They tried to kill me last time and were almost successful. I reached out to the Lord and said Lord be with me because I felt the seizure coming on.

My understanding is that there are physical ailments and demonic ailments. Some physiological ailments can open the door for evil spirits to enter. Or evil spirits can cause an ailment physically from their presence. Not all ailments of course but many of them.

It was the epileptic boy that the Disciples could not cast it out. Jesus said that kind only goes out with prayer and fasting. So that's a strong one. I have tried a few times to cast it out and I have not had success at it. So I'm off and learning about proper fasting and pray pray praying, and learning about casting out demons from people who have experience in the area! Lester Summrall, Derek Prince! And who knows? Maybe even here on the board? Hence my thread.

So I started fasting more, so what. Not to grandstand just discussing spiritual warfare with like minded believers. Besides, lol, I have never been successful in casting a demon out that I know of. Just working that direction though.

I've reason to pause for the patience you've endured over this affliction. If someone were to ask me, would this constitute the same as ''a little wine for your stomach's sake''? No. I think God has instead increased your faith to a good remedy since seizures are not in the same category as natural ailments (as scriptures declare) and as you said, have already experienced drug-resistant seizures. If it were me, I would first contact someone to agree with you in prayer to renounce any possible spiritual influence that you may not be aware that Satan has somehow set up camp with. This first step would be the all-purpose safeguard that shouldn't be underestimated in case you haven't already, in Jesus name.

1. What does today's exorcist say the reason is for many of the same demons; Jezebel, Leviathan, Lilith etc. keep reappearing to again be cast out when they are beforehand commanded to confinement of ''the pit''?

2. With the glut of video deliverance available, often with the victim's howling cries, at the final moments before Christ expelled them, once, they requested from the Lord where to go, and He agreed to send them to the herd of swine. Why no such bargaining today?
