I have studied history so I am well aware of how severe things were in fact my own ancestors came from a brutal time in history with the rcc where it was either be converted or be killed
But as far as millennial view points go well no I don't know much about that this is why I asked about the mark of the best and the millennial reign of Christ
I actually appreciate these comments as it seems that the stance against false prophesy is unpopular at the moment.
Though I think that punishment may be too far, I would say they should be held accountable and then if no repentance is made, people should be warned of their false prophecies
People often times want to be prophets without even understanding what a prophet is to do for the kingdom to begin with.
It may shock people to know that rather than giving a prophecy or prophetic word the role of a prophet is to help edify build encourage strengthen and guide the church
They are prone to prophetic uttering and sometimes their prophetic utterings flow into their words of edification but sadly the prophet is not hardly ever a welcomed person because the speak things that people do not believe or do not wish to hear
From what ive seen prophets are highly desired currently among the hyper charismatic movement, I have met many many prophets that boldly proclaim that title. I've been given many words as well, which turned out to be false. I've seen many prophetic words be given online, which have also turned out to be false.
Nothing about this builds up, it breaks down.
The infertile lady who gets told she'll have a baby by next year and doesnt starts to question if God still loves her. That stuff would happen at my church.
Then when people are held accountable instead of actually admitting they spoke wrongly and blasphemed God, they claim it is the victims fault because their faith wasnt right. Its sad.
I dont want to hear these things, for sure, because ive listened and ive tested. But guess what, the prophetic is still very popular in Christianity so I have to listen because they are my fellow brothers and sisters. So I listen and test.
Ive yet to see one prophesy come true. Except maybe the simple ones. Let's say, "in the future youre going to get a raise". Okay, well that happens for everyone.
I still love my brothers and sisters but I have a dislike for the way modern prophesy is being handled and taught about. I've seen it hurt so many people. I've been hurt by it. And nobody is held accountable.
It's off topic here. I'd suggest basic research in amillennial postmillennial viewpoints.
And that is exactly what I am talking about people who give a prophecy like that claiming to be prophets only to have their prophecy fail and then blame the person who it was for that is just disgusting.
People just don't know what a prophet really is so they take that title and give a prophecy thinking that is what a prophet does well no that is not what a prophet does at least not normally they do give some prophecy and prophetic utterance but for the most part their role is to build up not tear down if anything is to be torn down it is the false prophets
Anyone wanting the gift of prophecy must also consider the heaviness that comes with it because since they claim to speak for God they more than anyone will be held accountable by God but people have no regard for this truth and so you have all these false prophets going around and this was prophesied to happen in the last days
Yeah..I just have a hard time knowing what a real prophet would actually look like as I see very little scriptural support for any other idea of what a prophet looks like other than like prophesy about the future.
These people in the moment think they're building people up. But they really arent.
How do you build one up as a prophet?
To answer your question let me tell you what happened last week.
See I write what one might call prophetic writings or just spirit lead writings as I call them and there was a friend of mine who I felt lead to write an encouraging word for as he was struggling a lot facing a lot of opposition and having trouble finding the strength to even bother with anything anymore.
I wrote him something as if God himself was speaking to him I had no control over what was being written my fingers just typed the words came out on their own well in this writing to encourage him I mentioned how his shoulders stiffin and the pain in his back hurts him badly now mind you I didn't know why I wrote this because he had not mentioned it to me but I went as the spirit lead.
Well he messaged me back proclaiming how God healed his back once he read this word and said how God clearly spoke through me because his shoulders diddi stiffen from the back pain and he mentioned how he had not told anyone about this not even his wife but the pain would get so bad he his shoulders would stiffen and he felt like crying.
but upon reading what I wrote his fire returned to him and his pain was gone. That is how a prophet is supposed to work and that is what a prophet is supposed to do they recieve hidden knowledge in their spirits and God uses them to heal or bring back a forgotten flame
Some false prophets have been deceived. They don't know their message is false. And then even when you are a true prophet of God, the devil can sneak false messages into you. Just like any Christian will suffer.
The prophet giving the message should not be condemned. What they are supposed to do as a prophet, is bring it to the church and make sure all the prophets and those with discernment confirm it's from God. Even those who are seasoned.

In my long life as a boomer, i have seen only one person who was predicting the future of people in terms of what would happen to them in the future such as an accident, sickness or sometimes wealth. The majority of the news were bad generally.
And this wasn't with accuracy. The date was unknown. But it did happen !
Don't think it's pure chance because this person was accurate over the years as we heard things happening to many people. But, no dates or specificity in timeline. Only 'The Future'.
Not sure how this works and God works in mysterious ways but i don't think we have Biblical level prophets today basically.
What we do have is Miracles !
Miracles are plenty and i have experienced 3 major ones myself. As a result, my spiritual tank is full and i'm wondering everyday what God is waiting for because i saw, smelt and felt all the things of God here and now.
What i saw, smelt and felt wasn't prophecy but an answer to prayer. So it's not prophecy !
I think this title is reserved for few Saints in History.

It's the same gift, the gift of Holy Spirit, we are to grow in it, up to and over what Jesus did.

When i asked God, i wasn't expecting anything back to be honest because i was satisfied with other Miracles in History and many recent ones, But God in His mercy chose to give even little me a Miracle. 3, in fact.
At this point i would give my life for God. Everything else is vanity. God comes first, even before my family.
Some need to leave an apostate family to be His, and they will never be sorry.

I have yet to recieve one myself but I still believe and maybe one day I can receieve healing for my eyes
Have several of us needed to part with all, family, friends, etc. for His sake?

Well my family doesn't want anything to do with me so I have no family anymore and I do remember having a dream where my family wanted me to give up on God but I said my love for God is to great and then a powerful beam of his love came from the sky and poured into me
So maybe it is part of the plan
