Nobody is perfect and without sin of some sort so we need to repent. Since sin separates us from God, we need to find our way back…..

Only one sin separates us from God, although it can be described using various terms including: rejection of Christ (John 8:42-44), ignoring GW (Matt. 7:21), hard-heartedness (Matt. 13:14-15), apostasy (Heb. 6:4-6), blasphemy (Mark 3:29), etc.

Matthew 7:21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What about the ones who He once "Knew"? But they're not "saved" anymore.......How could He say "I never knew you" to those? Think about it.

Yes, but my point was to discredit OSAS. We all need Jesus daily!

I believe Jesus is speaking in the more intimate sense in that these never became One with Him.

I think those crying Lord Lord took credit of themselves for their deeds of prophesy and casting out devils. Satan can and does do miracles. Jesus saying He never knew them is key I think.

What makes you think that those who believe in OSAS do not seek Jesus daily?

I do and I believe in OSAS (perseverance of the saints) so do you discredit me?

Not an attack

You’re diverting from the issue. This was never the question. The issue is whether it is correct, and it’s not!

I am currently on the fence on the matter of osas. on one hand I have seen many fall away from faith or at least lose their fire on the other hand if salvation is a gift and not odf our own doing then how does one lose something that never belonged to them to begin with?

And then there is this John 10:28-29, which states, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hands. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand"

These verses strongly support OSAS.

Yes I thought so as well and this is why I am a bit uncertain what to believe about this because many have fallen away from faith and the parable of the sower of seeds suggest that it is possible for one to fall away because their soil was not ripe for seeds of the kingdom some even start out with zeal but shortly fall away.

Once the Father gives one to his son Jesus no one can pluck them away. I guess the question remains- who are the ones that the Father gives to his son Jesus?

Yes, it means no one can take them out of the Father’s hand, BUT that person can still sin and fall short of being saved by his own volition. For example, if you don’t repent, or worse, you turn away from God.
