The new heart is part of sanctification so now we are back to sanctification preceding justification, which is never found in scripture as the ordo salutis.

Wow! You actually have something right for a change!

2 Thess 2:13
13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord,
because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
NIV

In that order!

1 Peter 1:2
2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father,
through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood:
NIV

Again, in that order!

Salvation is a PROCESS....just like Sanctification is. So, yes, the NC promise of the new heart comes through the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing the elect to saving faith, which is ultimately manifested in the new birth. Sanctification does not follow faith, repentance, or obedience to the Truth. Sanctification is the precursor and absolutely essential to the new birth.

If what you stated above were true, then the Holy Spirit got the phrases I bolded backwards! Belief in the truth should precede sanctifying work. Ditto for 1Pet 1:2. Obedience to Jesus Christ and his Gospel should also precede sanctifying work. But they don't.

And fear not, RDBD will shortly run to your rescue.
I'm not running to anyone's rescue, Rufus. I'm clarifying that you are (cough cough) "fixing" posts submitted by others for yourself (cuz you're so "humble") ... you're pridefully not "fixing" for the one who submitted the post ... big difference ... those who are humble would recognize the difference ...
.

So, what good is divine revelation to succeeding generations of first generation New Covenant believers, since all scripture applies only to the original first century audience?
In this case it shows how faithful God was to those under the first Covenant.

I never had time to find it,

But here it is

Romans 12:2 ►

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will

God will reject the world for you. Yes
Amen!

God, who is pure spirit, died? Strike One!

Also, Jesus said that he died for His friends -- not those who hate him. Strike Two!

John 15:12-17
12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends . 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.
ESV

Lastly, if Christ died for the whole world in the distributive sense, it would have been for nought because God gives grace only to the humble, and the virtue of humility hardly describes God-haters and the haters of his disciples. Strike Three!

You're quite the strikeout artist, aren't you?
The Bible says the WORD was made or manifested into flesh. So before becoming flesh what was the WORD?

He was Spirit!

It's not a question of what God allows; rather, the entire issue is that the crippling ripple effect of Adam's sin through all his progeny doesn't allow it and has rendered us all as helpless human beings!
And yet in that condition God tells us to choose. That means we can.

Another answer to romans 1.28

Is only Gods sovereign will is known in Him.

But wait if God says people will go to hell does limited atonement apply to them to

But wait God will reject the world for you

Romans 12.2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will

God rejecting the world for you.

But way

The way to life is Jesus

But there is a way to death also

Does limited atonement apply here

Well God will reject the world for you.

But this will blow your head off

God's sovereign will is known only in him

Speak for yourself wimpy. And blame yourself (not Adam your perennial scapegoat) for your lack of a spine, tepid resolve and failing willpower.

ok well speaking about chatting and limited atonement, do you know for sure if there's anyway back for a person after Romans 1.28.
A chat is as separate section for privacy.
I initiated a chat to you. Did you get it?
