The Bible says that in the last age men and their sons shall have prophecy.

[a]And it shall be in the last days, saith God,
I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh:
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams:

Has anybody had a dream that has come true?
I had this dream, as was written in my journal.
I saw vision where i heard somebody saying , israel israel oh what have you done? And then i saw a child with different colored skins and robes that are all mismatched with a knife in their hand and a bible on the floor at their feet bleeding out.

Wonder what it really means , a desecration of the word?

The next day Gaza attacked then two days later Israel attacked and now there has been a war for a year. It’s hard to make understanding of how this is possible except for we are in the last days?

Has anybody had somthing like this happen to them?

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

They have been at war for THOUSANDS of years. In the Bible they were always going at it, and their descendants have kept up the hatred on both sides right up to today.

You should have seen the junk they pulled back in the late 1940s - on both sides. It makes today's little scuffles seem like kids fighting in a sandbox.

A voice came to me in my sleep saying, "Now, the Children of Israel, while they were in the Wilderness, were disobedient, and by their disobedience salvation was gained by the Nations."

All who have seen this posted previously, please forgive the need for repetition, and may God bless you.,

I have not had it happen. I've heard numerous stories of dreams people had though where they strongly felt like they were prophetic. Some, like yours, seemed extremely abstract and difficult to interpret. Others were just...ridiculous and appeared to be more "wishful thinking" than prophetic.

That being said, I don't put much stock into prophetic dreams, or even what people claim are prophetic words. Prophecy is literally just God speaking through someone. I don't believe for a moment that it is some major event to make a spectacle out of. Church pastors, as leaders and teachers, SHOULD be prophesying any time they deliver a sermon. As Christians, when we share the gospel, or minister to others, we SHOULD be prophesying. Prophecy is not predicting the future. It's not seeing something no one else can see. It's not having something revealed to one individual and no one else. While God has moved that way in the past, using that to define all prophecy is a very narrow definition that completely loses what prophecy actually is. God moves in ways that feel natural or mundane far more frequently than in ways that are beyond description.

You are confusing the type of prophesy that Paul intended.
Its forthtelling (truth telling) and exhortations for holy behaviour.....

Foretelling is the least common type of prophesy...
There is no new revelation to be made. Only an explanation of how scriptures applies for us today.

Oh....
One other thing....
Those who had dreams in scriptures?

Not exactly a positive thing for the dreamers. Just saying.

Prophecy does happen today, and you can get that in the church.
You can also get the gift yourself, even from getting a prophecy. From just being around those who do it.
They are lots of people who have this gift given to them thru the holy spirit.

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Thanks for clarifying, I understand now that prophecy is the telling of the word. But all I can think about is how weird it was and the timing.

Earlier I was looking for this thread when I read a verse from Numbers that made me think of a dream, but I had trouble remembering exactly where it was, so I abandoned the idea. And just now logging back in I see it on top of the new posts listing so I'm taking it that I should mention it after all.

The verse was Numbers 4:7
And over the table of the bread of the Presence they shall spread a cloth of blue and put on it the plates, the dishes for incense, the bowls, and the flagons for the drink offering; the regular showbread also shall be on it.

Some years back, about 10 years ago, I had a dream of a dining table covered with a vivid blue cloth on it. I received the dream after falling asleep once I prayed about working with an orthodox Rabbi and his wife after learning about him by her referral, even though she had done so (somewhat?) anonymously in a (Christian) chat forum and I had no official confirmation that it was she that I was speaking to, other than a sort of an 'intuition.' I knew (and accepted that) she was Jewish, and she knew (and accepted that) I was Christian at any rate.

And, although I've never actually met them in person, in my dream, I was visiting their house and was shown this table and, yesterday was the first time that I'd encountered this verse as far as I can recall. I might've read it before but if I did, I'm sure that this dream made it more noticeable and memorable to me as it brought the vision immediately to my mind. Without going anymore into the specifics of the situations and other aspects of the dream, I can't deny that, in my dream, to me, I very much felt the love of family.

I’ve known many people religious or not that said they have had dreams that come true. I wonder how that works. I know how dosnt much matter but it’s intriguing

Imo, if you dream is related to current events, I don't think that someone saying, "Israel, Israel, what have you done" would necessarily implicate Israel's guilt as much as it might be reflective of the world blaming Israel for Hamas' attack on them.

Yeah I’m not sure, just the timing of it seems to indicate to me that somthing bad was supposed to happen then it did. I won’t go to say what the will of God is in this situation. I more question what’s the point? Why have the dream? How did I have a dream like that? I guess I’m more questioning the purpose God has for dreams like that.

Joel2-28-32s.png

Joel 2 verses 28 plus 32a I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.
:)

Perhaps it is a reason personal to you. That God was letting you know that nothing happens without His knowledge so that, when it happens, you would not lose faith that He is with you even within the darkness so that you should not lose courage.

The Bible is, at its most basic, representative of a witness of God's word...think about the significance in that.
