This Pope was not even in the running, I think his odds were something like 100:1 or 50:1 a week ago. This means he knows where the bodies are buried. It is highly likely that the CIA, NSA, FBI, or Homeland Security knows a lot of dirt on the Catholic church assisting the Biden administration with human trafficking. This tells me that Trump wanted that man to be Pope and he provided ample evidence of a major scandal that would destroy the Catholic church, so they had no choice. Hence JD Vance seeing the Pope before he died, Trump sending out the picture that he is the Pope, and this wildcard being named Pope. What we still don't know is what Trump's plan is. For that I suggest you read about King Jehu in the OT.

I was surprised and still have trouble believing that Trump posted himself in pope vestments. However, I was shocked to hear him call it ahead of time as an American. Of course he had the inside scoop...
How all that fits together is a very interesting theory. The thing is, Zagami said this guy is worse than the last. What do you think about his view?

I think time will tell.

I also think that it is a valid interpretation to think that the false prophet in Revelation might be someone like a Pope. I do not subscribe to that interpretation, but I understand the Biblical basis and consider it a valid possibility.

The thing that unites them seems like the hierarchy structure and kneeling to the system. Catholics will speak for themselves since I'm not one, but there's plenty of dissention in their denomination. I don't expect an internal reformation of any kind as much as the majority hate many things that happen in their names. Most are taught from a young age that theirs is the one true Church and the rest of us are more or less cults. At least that's what of heard from RC friends.

Indeed, Constantine wanted peace, so he mixed pagan practices with Christianity, and conned people into believing if the wanted to go to heaven they had to go through them when Jesus command was to repent and turn, receive Holy Spirit anointing and grow in Him to heal, cleanse, cast out, preach, etc.
The "church" is the body of believers, not a man made organization with the leader walking around in a fish hat modeled after the Babylonian fish god Dagon.

totally. i was raised catholic. at 12 years of age, either God's Holy Spirit or my spirit told me there was something wrong with the catholic religion & that they tell you the same thing year after year, never teaching you anything.

It's good to hear agreement about Francis.
Mel Gibson's Dad, Hutton, lived near me and we talked. He was an old fashioned traditional conservative that didn't recognize Francis as a legitimate Pontiff.

I went through the required background check for teachers and VIRTUS Training under the principal of a school I taught in.
He made a lot of excuses and tried to whitewash the scandals during his presentation. I'm not sure, but I think others found him distasteful too.

The Church under Francis certainly made many Catholics upset by the cover-ups and moving certain priests to different churches.
A friend of mine, who devoted her life to celibacy and service as a nun even left.
 
The endorsement or not endorsement of literally any religious leader is irrelevant as marriage is a legal contract with the state

That is the fundamental justification for divorce, man put them together and so man can put them apart.

Completely contrary to the Lord's word that God has joined them together.

Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

So although this idea that marriage is a human contract that the state oversees is not a Christian concept, it is a concept that the prodigal son embraced.

Luke 15:15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

Taking God out of the equation of marriage is simply a sinful world trying to justify their fleshly deeds.

1Corinthians 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

Divorce is the same thing as amputation.

Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

The state does not join two people together and make them one flesh.

I am reminded of scripture that there are those who choose to be unteachable and are given over to a reprobate mind, I believe this and a few others are what that looks like.

America is not a theocracy and nowhere in the Bible does it say that Christianity is to be enforced by law

This is true, if you are not worried about divorce, broken marriages, and all the rest. If you abandon God you abandon all the blessings of being under God's protection.
