I have long had undiagnosed social anxiety. Far to long. It recently dawned on me it could be yet another lie satan has convinced me of. It keeps me from going to church. It keeps me from telling other people about the Lord. Very slowly I am working on it with the Lord's help. Do you to also think social anxiety could be a form of lie from satan?

Do you have a church that goes soul winning weekly?
I would find one that does and is doctrinally correct on the gospel.
I've trained others in classes over the phone and in person.
Some of the independent Baptists still meet. You meet weekly with others who are experienced at leading others to Christ.
You team up with them as a silent partner.
Your job is to pray silently when they are visiting with someone.
You play an important role as you are on the job training.
God really wants to use us for this most important job.
Memorize the verses and eventually the Lord will use you to lead others to Christ through the plan of >Salvation.
<(Bookmark)Yes. Although it could be you're more of an introvert. It could also be you're missing a skill in socializing and just need to practice. Some people hate small talk or gossip.
If it's an anxiety that's fear based. So it would be important to find out why you have it and what skills you need to improve it. But also it's a lie... bc anxiety is future dependent and the future doesn't exist. Only the present does right now.
Speaking from a physical pov, a lot of anxiety can be from hormonal imbalance and things like blood sugar spikes/ drops and deficiencies. I have to eat certain food and avoid others. Certain supplements help too.
The more you nurture your desire to reach others with the gospel by doing it, the rest should start to fall into place. I wouldn't let it feel intimidating. Just listen to those videos on the subject and I have many more that can provide good examples. Just let me know when you are ready for them.
I would also pray daily, when you read the Bible, for a helper to go with. I find that shut ins and nursing/ assisted living homes are excellent places to go share the good news.

If you treat the wrong problem, you could make things worse. In this case if you just force yourself to do something you are afraid of, it could lead to panic attacks hitting you when you least expect it.
Make sure you are fixing the right problem before you hit yourself too hard with what you are afraid of.
Start small.
Absolutely. Satan can't stop people being saved, but he will hinder our walk if he can. He will try to keep us focused on ourselves. That way, we are not looking to Jesus.
The old you that troubles you so much is dead and buried. You are a new creation in Christ. You also need to realise that people are not nearly as focused on you as you might think. "You would worry less about what people think of you if you realised how rarely they did".

Jesus said that we should be anxious for nothing. And that is what we usually worry about - nothing. Speak God's word out loud when you get this anxiety. Quote Galatians 2:20 until it becomes real to you. It's the sword of the Spirit and truth will dispel the lies. The victory is yours in Christ. Never forget the "in Christ" bit. That is essential, otherwise pride can sneak in.

Sadly, much of what is labeled “anxiety” today is rooted in biochemistry, not demons. Cut out the processed garbage from your diet and ask the Lord’s help in building your social confidence.
