Every time I'm tempted to think the sky is falling, my Dad chimes in with how whatever's going on doesn't compare to what went on in the '60's.

My Mom then talks about how we live in the greatest country in the world, despite our problems. Sometimes, when I'm sick of hearing whatever news story, I wanna ask her "Do we, though?" I def don't because I know I have no right to complain.

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

I wasn't around back then, but from what I've heard these days where just about like the '60s were.

Here is why it will be difficult for many to stay.
- About 2 days in the group someone said something about refusing that blacks or African should reach out to him on a matchmaking site. I was heart broken because I felt rejected. Many rebuked him but on many sites it is many times the case. Even with Christians.

We had a missionary here. Who really brought many to Christ. He was strict in righteousness. But guess what made him leave Cameroon, His son fell in love with a Cameroonian and he got very angry and left with his son.

if you don't have the love of Christ embedded in you, You flee from such people.
- cultural differences
Seriously I don't get many things that are said here but I have discovered very good people who have the patience to explain each time. Never getting tired. I appreciate you guys

I wanted a friend to join the chat but she doesn't get what is said. she would say "Edith ah no di hear me thing way Dem di tok ya"

Dear Edith, it seems like that missionary should find a different kind of work as he apparently doesn't have the love of Christ in him for being angry with his son for loving a Cameroonian. Maybe I'm judging and if so I shouldn't. But I just can't understand people who give the slightest consideration to skin color. I'm Caucasian and my very best friend from my school days is black and I love him like my blood brother and still correspond with him after sixty years of not seeing him. As you may remember, I lost my wife who was Asian from Thailand and if I remarry, I would gladly marry a Caucasian, Black, Asian or Hispanic. Neither skin color nor culture has anything to do with the condition of one's heart. That's my belief.

So on point dear brother.

It’s just a joke because in many countries Switzerland is considered to be a neutral country. So I just couldn’t pass the chance to mess with you a little lol. Sorry, didn’t mean no offense.

OK no problem, just didn't get the joke. But I do now!

Glad to hear we're known as neutral. :) Whereby this neutral would mainly refer to official international politics. But many current (left-wing) politicians and the administration are working hard to abolish this neutrality and want to drive us into international conflicts...

I live in Canada in a big province and I just got a job offer on the other side of the province. Maps says it's 2000 km away. And one day and eight hours driving I think I'm going to fly instead since they're offering me free flights. Guess where I am and where I'm going.

Lemme guess .🤔🤔🤔
You’re in southern Ontario (Toronto area) and your job is in northwestern Ontario (maybe Thunder Bay or Red Lake area).
Is my guess close at least?

Oooooh I know a song about moving out of Ghana!

Ghana be moving
Moving away
Ghana be moving
One of these days
When I leave this life behind me
Trouble and cares are never Ghana find me
Ghana be moving
One of these days

You can tell they were not used to such a small stage...
