This is an example that God the Father is Speaking in Parables.

In this verse, God the Father gave a warning to Adam & Eve.
He said the day you eat the forbidden fruit you will surely die. God the Father is always telling the Truth because he is the Truth.
They eat the forbidden fruit but Adam & Eve did not die on that day. In fact they still lived longer until they had children.
GENESIS 2:17
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

It was a spiritual death Brother.

You see, before the fall man was still perfect. Created in God's own image and likeness. So our spirit (and the Lord!) rode on the outside of our flesh body. As soon as they ate the fruit they said, hey we're naked! And they lost their light which was their covering before the fall. Then after it was gone because they ate the fruit boom, they can see their naked so sewed fig leaves together for aprons.

Adam lived for 930 years even after he fell because it took that long even under a curse to come down and die in his flesh because, we were so good to start with!

Then with the advent of Jesus and the New Covenant, He said, I will out in you a new spirit, and a new heart, and so we have become born again. Then He says, let your light shine before men! We can do that since our spirit is a spiritual being made of light itself. (Not a created light!).

how long does it take to make two tunics from fig leaves?

The Hebrew word describing their rudimentary clothing basically means an
apron, viz: a loin cloth; which I believe is very significant. It tells me that
their original sense of decency was quickly replaced by an altered version
that made them uncomfortable with their appearance in the nude, especially
their pelvic areas.

why did they spend zero time instead eating from the other tree?

I honestly don't think they were aware of the tree of life's full range of
healing properties. They had likely been using it for scratches and insect
bites while having no inkling that it would cure mortality and act as a
psychotropic medication too.

Actually they could've taken advantage of the tree while waiting for God to
finish treating the animal skins for their new clothing but He quite possibly
had already by that time made the tree inaccessible.

I dont think before the fall that anything bit anything else.

Well if it was fig that were handy to make skirts.

I did hear something one time about it being a fruit which resembles grapes, but who knows?

Grapes do not grow on trees.

I agree... but who gives a fig?;):giggle::giggle::giggle:

Sure, they do. Have you ever seen a vine tree?

4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.

A vine is a type of plant with flexible stems that require support to grow, either by climbing
other plants or structures, or by creeping along the ground. While vines often grow on and
around trees, they are not trees themselves. Common examples of vines include grapevines,
ivy, and honeysuckle, which use different methods like tendrils or clinging roots to ascend.

The Nazerite vow mentions not eating of the vine or drinking of it. Nothing in Genesis that I know of

They had likely been using it for insect bites

I really should've included the whole world of bugs because then we could
count critters like honey bees, ticks, fleas, chiggers, bed bugs, ants, wasps,
spiders, lice, horse flies, and mites, etc.

I think we tend to over-think the garden in Eden as some sort of perfect world
but you know, it was mostly agriculture and in that kind of an environment
we have to expect all sorts of creatures great and small. Fortunately, God
gave man the right to dominate the entire planet as its master and
commandeer so Adam was at liberty to invent some effective pest-control
measures had he needed to.

It will be like that during the Millennium! Instead of hunting, we will be able to go play hide and seek with the elk! Aha, Gotcha! Lol.

It matters not how man classifies things, only what is stated in scripture.

The grape is the only forbidden fruit specifically named in scripture. The juice of the grape, wine, is a type of blood throughout the bible.

Everything was perfect, even the fruit they were told not to eat.

He has to give us all a choice, obey him or not.

Bugs that bite do so for blood. Didnt happen in the garden.

That's right!

That reminded me of two things I heard. One is that scientists doing their quantum physics stuff now say that our blood is made out of congealed light on the quantum level.

The other one was a testimony from some Pastor where he had a visitation and the Lord instructed him to, remove your garment. And he kind of did the Clark Kent motion to open his suit to his inner "S" and said to the Lord, like this? But when he made the gesture, tow big beams of bright light shone out. It freaked him out and so he let go and it closed and God said, I said take the garment off...so he did it again and peeled it off (his flesh) and tossed it aside on the ground and he was standing there shining light the sun. Bright. And God said, you're made out of light and he said that was really an eye opening experience for him.

So the bugs that bite for blood wouldn't get any blood from a being of light!

There's an indication in scripture to this.

Luke 24:39
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have..../KJV

Jesus didn't say flesh and blood like we do. He said flesh and bone. He was explaining that He is real, alive and has a real body. And this was after His resurrection so He was in His resurrection body and is a pure being of light, no blood.
