Hi VivianyFaith, glad you are joining us, welcome to CC! Some single Christians I know are perplexing, lol. They say they long for a relationship but when presented with a potential date they are too cautious or just used to being single. On the other hand, I know personally couples that really were serious about meeting the one God had for them and did, quickly. Lots of prayers, dialogue and making an effort paid off for them. Jesus said in Mk 11:24 whatever we desire if we believe we have it we will have whatsoever we say. Never give up and expect miracles, is what I like to think. That's my take on it, lol. We all struggle. We may be believers but we all struggle. And that we have Christ to help us. That is a huge advantage for us believers. Welcome to the boards my friend!

Different personalities have different struggles, Christians or otherwise.
I found true love before.
I was ready to leave everything behind for a new life with her.
I thought I would have my first sip of liquor on my honeymoon.
I needed a new sense of direction, because I lacked one where I am.
And two minds observing each other is better than one measuring itself.
She left me at a tender moment, and I fell.
I learned there's nothing better to drink than vodka mixed with a juice of choice.
I'm getting back up, but I still miss her.
I don't know what else to say.

Pray for me that my wife of several decades, truly desires reconciliation even just for a walk and talk in prayer with the Holy Spirit as our guide. Aside from my love for the Lord, she is my first love in his grace and mercy and covenant bond and my only one forever. I believe we are destined to do ministry together again, but she will have to open a tiny window to work on recovery together. I will say a prayer for your marriage and I suggest you lose any fear, insecurity and doubt over this union. Look up God's promises on marriage and receive/believe them by faith. Be a man and don't pressure her, be confidant that God is for marriage. You need to also 'cast this care onto the Lord'....be in prayer and assurance God is hearing you, so toss it to Him, lol. One last thought, if looking back you can recognize anything you contributed to turn her off, ask God to help you be your best. God bless!
because they don't want to wait. because they rush God. because they try to hard without patience. because they don't pray properly. because they ask amiss. because they may consume the answer upon their lusts. the best way for a person to find a spouse is pray to Jesus, always believing He will answer, owning a faithful attitude, being joyful & cheerful & patiently waiting for the answer from Jesus. i asked Jesus for a wife back in 2012. the Holy Spirit told me about 3 to 4 years. i tell you it really seemed i knew it would be the longer portion of time. sure enough, i received my answer 204 weeks later, 4 weeks shy of 4 years! 4 years is 208 weeks!
thank you for sharing that. It's really beautiful. I know I will be fine even if I am single for the next several decades. I am a very "intensely involved" guy and right now I have to avoid speaking to women too much face-to-face. I find it can be very distracting and lead to the "hunt" Because I've been away from my wife for around nine months. So I'm starting to feel like a single man. It's a very weird feeling. My youngest child is a teenager. Prayers are welcome. Wisdom.

In my experience , it's best not to look for it , just relax and do u , if God has set someone aside for u , then God will make sure that the two of u meet at exactly the right time . Trust in Him , He is working in your life to do u good , don't b presumptuous , let Him sort it for u . He will . My hubby and I have an awesome story about how we met , it's a bit long and I don't have time now but one day I will tell it . It's really a story about how God is on control and is perfect in His wisdom and understanding and timing . Please , believe this . Just do u and wait on the Lord

We are sorry for your touching love story. I personally think that she wasn't the will of our Lord for your life. I have learned the importance to always pray for the will of God and not for our heart desires. May God bring you clarity and bless you.
