No, I'm not trying to make it unconditional, it is unconditional. Why was Abraham put into a sleep and God walked through the parted animals alone? God said continually " I WILL". It was unconditional, no trying about it.
Abrahamic Covenant was unconditional.
You do understand there is more than one covenant? And I did not say other covenants didn't have conditions, I said the Abrahamic covenant is unconditional. And it is.
Yes, they broke the conditional covenant, but God didn't break His unconditional covenant!! That is why He will re-gather them back into the land He promised. Because He is still faithful when we are not.
I have been very kind in my responses to you. I have never mocked you. There is more than one covenant. God promised Abraham a nation with borders, He named those borders. If God doesn't fulfill those promises He lied to Abraham and Abraham believed in vain. It's funny how so many in this forum swear up and down that Once Saved Always Saved is true but can't believe God will restore the Jews like He promised.
Yeah ….unconditional who cares what the covenant actually says or what God said to them or what they said to him that’s irrelevant
“Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
a blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
and a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”
Deuteronomy 11:26-28 KJV
“No no it’s unconditional”
“If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; and if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.”
Leviticus 26:3-4, 6, 9, 11-17, 30-33
no … no …it’s unconditional
“If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God: but if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.”
1 Samuel 12:14-15 KJV
No no it’s unconditional
“I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; a people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom. But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain……
..Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.”
Isaiah 65:2-3, 5-7 11-1
No ….no it’s unconditional
Hard position to argue
“
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”
Matthew 23:37-38 KJV
“Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures,
The stone which the builders rejected, The same is become the head of the corner: This is the Lord's doing, And it is marvellous in our eyes?
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”
Matthew 21:42-43 KJV
I don’t really see an unconditional covenant even the new one isn’t without condition
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but
he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Mark 16:15-16 KJV
Israelis are just sinners like everyone else they need to do the same thing anyone does accept Jesus the messiah thier savior and ours . As long as they continue rejecting him the Jewish people can’t be saved , each individual one who repents and believes the gospel will be saved and receive his actual promise to them of a new creation to come
