Looks like the world's version of the golden rule to me, whoever has the gold makes the rules. Or "might makes right". When Biden was president it was $500 million, now that Trump is president the prosecution is a bunch of bumbling idiots who have no idea how to price a fine.It’s still fraud, but the prosecution didn’t know how to ask for the correct punishment. They actually really didn’t know. That makes me believe that the prosecution was taking into consideration what had no bearing in the matter. They should have asked for a fine that was proportionate to the crime committed. They didn’t and got the case minimized. That’s on the prosecution.
