From God's side, He simply chose people to set His affection upon.
For some reason the super-determinists always gleefully hyper-emphasize upon those poor souls that God "ignored" or "refused" to set his affection upon.

Then it makes me wonder why the Father gave you to Christ if you had no desire to learn from Him on the way to coming to Christ. Jn.6:45
God's plan for me started before the foundations of the world.
From the time I was four years old all I ever wanted was to be like the One before me. I simply had no idea who He was until much later in life but learning from the Father taught me and led me to Christ.
I don't remember a time when I wasn't a Christian, but I know there was a time when God made me spiritually alive (born again) and that was after being physically alive (born).

Indeed, but notice how no one is willing to admit what you state, nor will they admit their god rejects people arbitrarily.
Yes, the super-determinist dogma is predicated primarily upon rejection. Of all of "those" supposedly eeeeeevil bad people God loves to hate. Those "other guys". Poor saps.

Show me anyone who is glad someone isn't saved. No one celebrates people being lost. But point out the post where someone has please. You made a statement. Now support it.

I have already made a couple of lists. Feel free to add to them.

When grace subdues the depravity of the flesh having it's dominance over one's soul?
Yes! Ultimately... everyone (except idiots) freely made a choice.

Grace puts man into a state of being just like when the angels chose to reject the Lord.

So are those who reject the Lord, while under the influence of God's grace?
Were made to free in their soul to recognize what they actually want.

Without grace?
All men would be compelled to reject the Lord.
With grace?
All will be made free to choose, as the angels had done when it came time to choose between the Lord or Satan.

......

What in the world are you talking about? Your entire post is incoherent!

Yes, you lied about what Scripture states. Repeatedly. And then project your lack of understanding onto Cameron.

You really ought to make a bit more of an effort to understand Scripture. And God.

As it is, claiming God does things arbitrarily just showcases your ignorance.

PS And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth— the gospel of your salvation— you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.

Willful Ignorance abounds on this thread with FWers. I think they wear it as a badge of honor. Everywhere in scripture it teaches that God does all things according to His PLAN or PURPOSE!

And if they were actually consistent with their own insipid theology, they'd have to admit that God acted arbitrarily in Gen 3:15 since He reconciled Eve to Himself without Eve doing a single thing! She didn't own her sin. She didn't confess her sin. She didn't repent of her sin. She didn't ask for God's forgiveness. She exercised no faith -- yet, God decreed her salvation to the Serpent just because He could! Can't get any more capricious than that! But there it is in black and white on the pages of Holy Writ!

Because you twist pretty much everything that is said, so why would anyone take you seriously to actually discuss anything?

And I certainly don't lame apologists seriously. You guys can never answer the tough questions in an honest, truthful, straightforward manner. All of you are spiritually pathetic, weak, impotent, blind, naked and poor. Other than these few things, y'all are in great shape.

P.S. I'll give you a shot to redeem yourself. Address the Eve problem I wrote about to Magenta in my 8155. That should really be interesting.

Spurgeon's Meditation for today is timely.

"And I will give you an heart of flesh."
Ezekiel 36:26

A heart of flesh is known by its tenderness concerning sin. To have indulged a foul imagination, or to have allowed a wild desire to tarry even for a moment, is quite enough to make a heart of flesh grieve before the Lord. The heart of stone calls a great iniquity nothing, but not so the heart of flesh.

"If to the right or left I stray,
That moment, Lord, reprove;
And let me weep my life away,
For having grieved thy love"

The heart of flesh is tender of God's will. My Lord Will-be-will is a great blusterer, and it is hard to subject him to God's will; but when the heart of flesh is given, the will quivers like an aspen leaf in every breath of heaven, and bows like an osier in every breeze of God's Spirit. The natural will is cold, hard iron, which is not to be hammered into form, but the renewed will, like molten metal, is soon moulded by the hand of grace. In the fleshy heart there is a tenderness of the affections. The hard heart does not love the Redeemer, but the renewed heart burns with affection towards Him. The hard heart is selfish and coldly demands, "Why should I weep for sin? Why should I love the Lord?" But the heart of flesh says; "Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee; help me to love Thee more!" Many are the privileges of this renewed heart; "'Tis here the Spirit dwells, 'tis here that Jesus rests." It is fitted to receive every spiritual blessing, and every blessing comes to it. It is prepared to yield every heavenly fruit to the honour and praise of God, and therefore the Lord delights in it. A tender heart is the best defence against sin, and the best preparation for heaven. A renewed heart stands on its watchtower looking for the coming of the Lord Jesus. Have you this heart of flesh?

You are either very young.

Or, immature.

Either way, you are out of your element.

Yeah, I'm out of my "element", thanks be to God's amazing grace! I'm out of the tri-element of the world, the flesh and the devil. But it appears you FWer's are still steeped in all three up to your eyebrows!
