Or not. Yes, clickbait title. Who said old people can't learn from new things? The Roman Catholic organisation once blamed the Jews for killing Jesus. They have since repudiated this claim as being unjustifiable. However, not everyone agrees, including at least one on this forum.

I was shocked (another clickbait word). It is illogical, to say the least. Jesus died and rose again 2,000 years ago. It is not clear how many Jews were involved in the trial and certainly none carried out the death sentence. Why is no one abusing the Italians for killing Jesus? Germans have generally been forgiven for following Hitler who killed millions, Japan likewise. And WW2 is only 80 years ago.

The reason for antisemitism is simple. Israel is still God's nation. It was miraculously founded, miraculously survived the attack of 5 nations and miraculously endures today. 8 million Jews against 450 million Arabs and Turks. That's about the right odds for God to reveal His power.

the final sacrifice had to be preformed by the remnant which is why the death of Jesus came at the hands of the Jewish people.

The Jews did kill Jesus.
https://biblehub.com/bsb/matthew/27.htm

24When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “You bear the responsibility.”

25All the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!”

26So Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed Him over to be crucified.

The Jewish people were not cursed for killing Jesus in itself.Jesus became the curse and took it on the cross and if they believed in Jesus and walked in his ways then they'd have been sanctified and cleansed like the levite's were before being allowed to enter the Holy of Holies.
God is amazing how he does things. The Levites would get blood on their hands as part of the ritual cleansing of the old Covenant. They were a rebellious people, and said "let his blood be on us and our children" as an act of taking responsibility for the death of Jesus, but God loves to restore the things satan tries to destroy.Jesus told me himself that he takes joy in it.So like how his blood be on us and our children, his blood be on them and their children,if they just repent and receive the Holy Spirit.

That's all in the past. Those Jews who repented and received the Holy Spirit became Christians. Those who didn't repent took on the curse they pronounced with their own lips, and were slaughtered in 70AD.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

100% Correct. :)

Jesus is Israel as promised.

I think someone is hoping if they keep making threads they can change reality!

They are tireless, aren't they? And always lying!:eek::eek: Accusing us of wanting to annihilate Israel, genocide Jews, etc. etc. Sad that some are believing it still, but these are getting less.

Some of the Candace episodes are quite interesting. I'm now wondering (and believing) if they employ overtly obnoxious people to associate with those they want to discredit. The more I learn about what lengths these people go to to deceive, the more I associate them with Satan's work.

My sin caused Yeshua to be nailed to the cross. I'm guilty. Do we try to avoid responsibility by finger pointing?

There were about 1.5 million Jews in that time. Most did not even know that Jesus was to be crucified. And what happened after the resurrection?
Acts 2: 46 & 47
With one accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courts and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

The temple and later, Israel was destroyed by Rome for their rebellion against Rome's authority. To blame the current generation of Jews for the death of Jesus is absurd.

I didn't blame the current Jews for the murder of Jesus.

I also do not deny the 1st century Jews were responsible.
As we know because the Bible tells us this.

I think the history of the Jews shows they weren't beloved of God after killing Jesus.

The first Christians were Jews. Not all believed however. To this day Jews have not known peace as a whole.

And it is of note that 600 years after Roman authority approved the murder of the Jewish Jesus, their emperor not only legalized his teachings in the realm but was involved in creating a church in his stead. After killing the same man for the alleged crimes of blasphemy and sedition.

The Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity and promoted religious tolerance in 313 CE through the Edict of Milan.

I'm not sure the Jews always felt beloved God before Christ. I wonder how many agree:

“Dear God. Did you have to send me news like that—today of all days? I know, I know we are the chosen people. But once in a while, can’t you choose someone else?” – (Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof)

The Jewish religious leaders gave Jesus to the Romans to crucify.
But their greatest sin is in rejecting Him as the promised Messiah and continuing to offer sacrifices in the temple.
God judged them accordingly.
The Roman army destroyed the city, the temple, and the nation in 70 AD,
The Jews were scattered through out the world just as Ezekiel prophesied,
Over the next 1800 plus years millions died.
At the end of WWII they were as a valley of dry bones.
It is only by the grace of God and Him intervening in world affairs that prevented them all dying.
His intervention established the nation again.
Israel will be driven into the wilderness by the beast where God will protect His chosen nation for 1260 days.
They still reject Jesus but will accept Him when He returns and rules the world as King of the Israel for 1000 years.

That is a wild take.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son
, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Isaiah 53:10
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief
: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

John 10:17-18
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Never forget.
Jesus dying on the cross was God's plan to redeem man.
The day Jesus died on that cross was a dune deal.
No one could have stopped it. Not the whole Roman army.
God used the evil Jewish leaders and the Romans to bring it about.
He died because I am a sinner saved by grace just as you are

I made a comment that the world hates Israel without cause. Someone who shall remain nameless indulged in an antisemitic rant that the world hates Israel because the Jews killed Jesus. I am appalled at that attitude and I do not apologise for addressing it.
