Sad state of affairs. Free will theology IS by definition of the world. It pleases and tickles the ears of unbelievers and puts them on the throne and God is just a genie in a bottle that can be summoned to do their bidding. I used to attend a word of faith church and IVE SEEN THIS a lot.

You are absolutely correct we are NOT of the world, we are called out of it and if anyone is a friend of the world he is an enemy of God!

Always rejoice in what God has done in your life. Those who mock God's work are mocking GOD

If you're old enough, do you remember a popular bumper sticker of a few decades ago that read: "God is my co-pilot"? This clearly implied that the pilot is man. Man is in control of "his" ship, "his" life, "his" destiny, etc. (God is second in command!) Of course, the very sad reality here is none of those things belong to man. What does mankind have that God has not given to us?

“This may be the case but when we arte born are not born into sin?”

no he doesn’t look at children as sinners bro he told grown sinners to become like the little children because the kingdom belonged to such as those . What Paul’s saying there again sort of really is valuable look again

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey;

whether of sin unto death,

or of obedience unto righteousness?

( we choose to serve sin we aren’t born that way )

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He isnt saying “ you were all born sinners and had no choice in who to yield yourselves to as servants “

hes saying” don’t you onow that whoever you choose to serve , that’s who’s servants you are whether of sin leading to death ? Or of obedience leading to righteousness ?

a then he says “ you used to be servants of sin ( because you were yielded to it and served it , but now you have o eyed the doctrine that makes you free from sin …..remember what doctrine that is ?

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

( they reply free ? We aren’t slaves to anyone )

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin…… If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32, 34, 36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

hes saying what Paul said if you commit sin , you’re a servant of sin.

sin is like this brother 👦 ta not just programmed and predetermined it’s a temptation because of the list in us from good and evil

“but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Do not err, my beloved brethren.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

See even cain wasn’t just “born a sinner “ he was given a choice “ do what’s right and you’ll be accepted but of you don’t do what’s right , sin is crouching and waiting it desires to have you but you must rule over it “

then he killed his brother yielding to sin and became a servant of sin and then was cut off from his relationship with God.

Its the same for us all we’re born and then later we become aware of good and evil we get tempted and begin to yield ourselves to sin and become servants of sin

children aren’t born wrong we become wrong through negligences and wrong ideas and doctrines and lies ect

“and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God has nothing against children but much against people who knowingly commit sin
Well I wasn't meaning children as sinners what I was meaning was we were born into this flesh that naturally desires to sin and so we lust after our own desires and after time become slaves to it, just like a drug addict over time they become slaves to the drug

Yes faith is a gift and anyone who denies that contradicts his word Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God"

There are plenty here who do not believe that because that would be so unfair, so unjust, so unrighteous of God; for He would be playing favorites -- as though God has no right to do with his gifts as he sees fit.

James 1 verses 14-15; 1 John 2 verse 16 Each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. For all that is in the world- the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not from the Father but from the world. .:)

Even though the scriptures clearly say otherwise? Do they not read their bibles? how is it a legally blind person like me can read and understand but not those who have their sight and yet do not see?

Hey we have people claiming God is not fair because He actually does what He actually does.

Does that sound like someone who loves God? Someone who knows God?

Very true and wow this one is amazing so realistic

And that addiction begins at a very early age, for it is written, "The schemes of folly are sin" (Pr 24:9) and..."Folly is bound up in the heart of a child..." (Prov 22:15). Imagine that: Folly is bound up in the hearts of "innocent" children? Who would have ever thought?

I would say no, however God is a just God and is no respecter of persons he does what he will do and does it with far more morality than anyone of us.

So honestly if people have issue with this then I suppose take it up with him

Right I agree . And then the gospel arrives to those who have become servants of sin and offers to make them free indeed …..give them a new existsnce free of all that they had willingly done wrong and then eventually lost that will tonthose corrupt things they served in tbat “ addiction “ type of thinking

The world we have to live in is filled with good and evil , the evil is very prevalent and so it. Rested a constant almost te oration in many forms from little white lies that benefit us in the moment to great and terrible sins like murder and adultery. But the gos who said don’t lie also said don’t kill or commit adultery so any sin we begin yielding to them proves us to be a servant of sin and reveals our need for remission of sins

it’s the difference in a Saint and a Christian who’s a redeemed sinner

a saint has this witness

“These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but Christian’s are sinners who have this witness

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭

Wow nice one I never even considered that scripture

Read Romans 7, in particular verses5-13. Paul explains how God uses the law to make our sin known to us. It also explains how as we learn about the law, the motions of sin in the flesh cause us to desire sin as it is made known by the law. This is why one who practices sin becomes a slave to it.

The remainder of the chapter Paul explains how one comes to faith. Recognizing our utter sinfulness and our inability to escape it, we cry out to God to deliver us.

The idea that one can escape their sin nature apart from God is ridiculous. There is no desire in a corrupted nature or heart that desires to do so. Men love darkness. The only way to change this is to provide a new nature and a new heart. And this is the promise of scripture...Ezekiel 36:26-27

Wow nice one I never even considered that scripture
Psalm 58 verse 3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; the liars go astray from birth.

Psalm 14 verse 3
All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

Psalm 51 verse 5 Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.

Psalm 52 verse 3 You love evil more than good, falsehood more than speaking truth. Selah

Psalm 53 verse 3
All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

Isaiah 48 verse 8
You have never heard; you have never understood; for a long time your ears have not
been open. For I knew how deceitful you are; you have been called a rebel from birth.

Job 14 verse 4 Who can bring out clean from unclean? No one!

Job 15 verse 14
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Proverbs 22 verse 15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

John 3 verse 3 Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Romans 3 verse 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5 verse 12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and
death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.

Ecclesiastes 7 verse 20 Surely there is no righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.

Romans 3 verse 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.

Ephesians 2 verse 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh
and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.

Jeremiah 17 verse 9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

1 John 1 verse 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.

Everyone here knows where I stand. Foreknowledge has zero to do with prescience and everything to do with divine prerogative. And not even you can spin Rom 8:28-30 fast enough to get it mean the former.
You can keep coping and saying that but lets look at the word

Romans 8:29
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

foreknew: proginosko προγινώσκω

The word is used for foreknowing things, easy to prove from biblehub:

2 Peter 3:17
You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand [proginōskontesπρογινώσκοντες] beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

Its the same word, and this isnt the only place. So it really does mean that foreknowledge. Foreknowledge means to know beforehand, I know its hard to grasp with the calvinist lenses on. But you should know that the people Peter was writing to did not divinely preordained nothing, they were just regular men like you and me.

Yes precisely, and this is why one cannot freely choose God before being drawn to him it requires one to hear the call yes but to choose to follow him by our own merits always ends up failing because it requires God to do it

Romans7-18-24a.png

Romans 7 v 18-24a I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law. But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!
