When they asked Jesus was work they were required to do
Jesus responded. "It is the work of God that we believe in the one he sent"

The THREE Tenses Of God's ETERNAL Salvation:
"But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should
not trust in ourselves, but in God Which raiseth the dead: Who
Delivered us from So Great A Death,...
(RDF)
...and Doth Deliver:...
(RDF)
...in Whom we trust that He Will Yet Deliver us;"

Precious friend(s), Is not the Solution to Confusion recog-
nizing These THREE, And, Also, God's Differences Between
"HIS Relationship With us," And (RDF) "our fellowship with HIM!"?
God's Will, Today, Under HIS PURE GRACE? Very Simply:
► faith (100% trust/belief with the heart!) ◄
1) Past Tense = "...God Delivered us from So Great A Death...":
God Establishes HIS Eternal Relationship
With those who humbly repent and
believe, 100% trust, place Total faith, In The LORD JESUS CHRIST,
HIS Death (Precious BLOOD) , Burial, And HIS Resurrection,
According To The Scriptures!
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4; cp Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3-5)
"GRACE Through faith" In The Merits
Of HIS ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Results:
All sins Forgiven, His Eternal Life, And, Peace With God!
(Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 2:13; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:1)
This Is Eternal Deliverance From the Penalty of sin,
The So Great A [Second ] Death! (Revelation 21:8) =
Justification and Spiritual Sanctification
(2 Corinthians 1:10a cp Romans 3:24)
(More Biblical Confirmation is here: God's ETERNAL Assurance!
And here:
God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!)
► faith ◄
God's ETERNAL Justification/Relationship Is First, And, Then:
Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ” (online)
►► love ◄◄
(2) Present Tense = "...God Doth Deliver us...":
All believers Should do "good works" {Which will Never
Equal CHRIST's Payment For the above Penalty of sin!},
for Which we Are Created In CHRIST JESUS, to perform
for Him, having "been Called into fellowship With Him!"
(Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 1:9) Amen?:
We "work out our own salvation" (Philippians 2:12). This
Should Be a lifetime of Daily submission, and renewing,
being "not conformed to this world" (Romans 12:1-2),
for Grace Deliverance From the power of sin!}
(2 Corinthians 1:10b) = personal sanctification:
(2a) Christ Living In us, To Fulfil:
All Of His Law, In "One Word: Love thy neighbor as thyself!"
(Galatians 5:14; Romans 13:8-10)
(2b) His Spirit Guiding and Teaching us, How To:
"Study to shew thyself Approved Unto God, a work-manthat needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth!" (2 Timothy 2:15)
Eternal Results: reward (GOOD works Required!) [or loss (BAD works!) *]
(1 Corinthians 3:8-15), ruling and reigning [or not *] With CHRIST, Which
Will Finally Be At The Judgment Day!
* More study: Finishing The Race
►► love ◄◄:
Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ” (online)
►►► Blessed HOPE! ◄◄◄
(3) Future Tense = "...God Will Yet Deliver us":
CHRIST's Glorification of All "members" Of HIS Body!!
{This Is Eternal Deliverance From the Presence of sin!}
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57;
2 Corinthians 1:10c). Hallelujah! Praise HIS Excellent Name!!

Conclusion:
BIG Differences Between the THREE tenses Of God's Eternal Salvation,
And Between God's Relationship And (RDF) our fellowship! Correct?
Please Be Very RICHLY Encouraged And Edified In
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, And His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided (+ I and II).

Will do:not that complicated...
So keep it simple
And keep holiness and endure to the end, waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ.AmenPrecious friend, you are correct, it will take Eternity to understand All of the Scriptures, eh?

Precious friend, great questions:Why were they being baptized?
If just believe why did Paul baptized them?

Precious friend, great questions:
God Was Transitioning from Law (with two baptisms) Over To Grace ( Now with Only ):
which simply means NO "works salvation" any longer, In God's New "Dispensation of GRACE!"
(Ephesians 2:5-10; Titus 3:4-7; Romans 3:24 AV)
Amen.
When JESUS ascended the second time that is when the NT started and being baptized in JESUS name was used anyone baptized by John had to be rebaptized.
This is what JESUS says we must do to be saved, John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
So it's clear we need to be born of water and of spirit to ENTER.
This is what Peter said we must do to be saved, Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Peters messaged is almost word for word as John 3:5 AND LOOK what happened when people OBEYED what Peter said.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
THEY OBEYED and about THREE THOUSAND SOULS were ADDED.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Jews were baptized in the name of Jesus.
Act 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Act 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
Act 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Act 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Samaritans were baptized in the name of Jesus.
Act 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Gentiles were baptized in the name of Jesus and those baptized by John were baptized in the name of Jesus.
Also Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles not names and name is singular.
Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
It appears Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Everything we do in word or deed is to be done in Jesus' name including baptism.
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Some people believe baptism is for Church admission, or showing faith.
But the Bible says we are baptized in to Jesus' death and if we do that we shall rise to newness of life with Him.
We have to identify with the man Christ Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, by repenting, being water baptized, and being led by the Holy Spirit.
You cannot cut out the middle man or look at it in a different way for it is part of the salvation plan of God.
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This says baptism does now save us which is water baptism for it is comparing it the flood which eight souls were saved.
Did you know you left out Acts 10?Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”GOD BLESS YOU, AMEN.
I agree with everything including that JESUS IS GOD.
I would think some on this sight would not accept that.
Did you think I was saying something else?
GOD BLESS YOU, AMEN.

Did you know you left out Acts 10?
That was when the Gentiles received the Holy Ghost and were baptized in the name of Jesus.
For sure don't mean to take away from what you did post!!
Thank you there are many, I like this one maybe the best.“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
John 20:28-29 KJV
Thank you, we sure need to get the word out.Act 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
I wanted to use Acts 19 to show that Gentiles were baptized in the name of Jesus because it includes those baptized with John's baptism had to be baptized in the name of Jesus and it says they did not know of the Holy Spirit and received the Spirit.
I could of used Acts 10 but Acts 19 covers it.
AmenThank you there are many, I like this one maybe the best.
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
JESUS speaking here on earth and he says he's in Heaven.
Amen
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Matthew 1:23 KJV
I love the certainty and clarity of the prophets beforhand coupled with the gospel afterwards it’s indeniable
“Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.”
Isaiah 43:10-12 KJV
after he came
“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
1 John 5:20 KJV
in the ot he was dwelling in the heavens and sending occasional messengers to earth even visiting a time or two himself like when he initially appeared on Sinai before he gave the people to the unforgiving angel for building the molten calf and worshipping it . After that time his glory departed from the earth but he began telling the people one day he would come as a shepherd to fether his people and lead them into n truth and righteousness walking among them and later he came to earth
Its really cool to follow the prophetic line of the messiah you can follow it from genesis to revelation which clearly reveals Christ the lord and God of all creation
Yes, from the heart (Romans 10:9,10) we trust 100% in Jesus Christ for salvation. Simply believing that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ "happened" is believing in our head yet, trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as the all sufficient means of our salvation, is believing with the heart. (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)faith (100% trust/belief with the heart!)
