On the pope, I'm with you anyone like him who thinks when he speaks it trumps what JESUS says is a problem and of course NOT OF GOD.

No doubt the catholic church suppressed people, but today that does not come into play.

What comes into play is people will NOT ACCEPT HIS word so they start churches with their personal beliefs and not HIS word.

Like, say this prayer and your saved.
Or we are saved by grace or faith alone do anything else is a work.
Or Paul preached a different message.
Or being baptized is for show the list goes on ALL NOT BIBLE.

I did notice you didn't answer any of the questions I asked.

Have you ever searched what different church's foundation is?

ALMOST EVERYONE they do everything in JESUS name EXCEPT being baptized.

How many of them are true JESUS disciples and have been filled with the Holy Ghost like JESUS filled HIS DISCIPLES in Acts 2:4? And in every case of showing how to be reborn in the book of Acts they were filled the same way.

Most church's don't use the book of Acts as a foundation or even speak of speaking in tongues.

It is a part of being reborn!!! JESUS said in John 3:5 we need to be born of WATER and of SPIRIT.
Yes, RC experienced a reformation in part, finally ending the Inquisition in 1964 as part of Vatican II.

Yes, people need to learn from 1Cor. 3 NOT to be form divisive denominations, even by disagreeing about WB.

It is problematic to base doctrine on historical passages like Acts instead of doctrinal Scripture such as the epistles.

IMO John 3:5 refers to being born physically (when the water breaks at birth) and spiritually (via saving faith).

Now you understand why so many different denominations.

HISTORICAL PASSAGES??? IT'S GODS WORD.

This is what happens to people who do what you are doing,

Revelation 22:18-19
King James Version
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Today we have man-made preacher who are leading so many to Hell do to not using ALL OF HIS WORD with ALL of it 2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

I feel bad for those who are leading people down the broad and wide path, it will be worse for them than those who don't pick up HIS word and read it for them selves.

Then we have JESUS disciples who speak THE WHOLE TRUTH which is down the straight and narrow path.

We all have choices to make, I'm just here as a JESUS follower planting seeds.

John 3 IS NOT SPEAKING OF NATURAL BIRTH, that is when we GOT ALL OF OUR SINS.

JESUS was speaking to Nicodemus was HE ALREADY BORN???

If we were not born how could we get REBORN??

How could we read HIS WORD?

It is generally known that historical passages may recount sinful as well as lawful events,
whereas doctrinal passages teach what is right and wrong, so the reader of history will be discerning
and neither add to nor subtract from Scripture/truth.

In John 3:5 Jesus spoke of BOTH natural birth (water=amniotic fluid) AND spiritual rebirth.
Because Nick was born, he could get REborn.

All of his word is historical passages, they were not written yesterday.

We can't just use the ones we AGREE with we have to use ALL of them.

In John 3:5 JESUS is referring to being water baptized... and Spirit baptized WE NEED BOTH.

One we do and are responsible for, the other JESUS does.

You too simply focus on the one verse and ignore all the rest (called proof-texting), which do NOT teach that WB is needed
or essential for salvation, but rather it was a practice/rite/good work carried over from the inter-testament period that was
superseded by the NT doctrine of salvation via faith/SB first, followed by various manifestations of love/the HS, possibly including WB.

I'm sorry if I seem imposbile I like things being VERY CLEAR without any confusion at all.

HIS WORD is that clear and you are sending mix messages.

JESUS says we need BOTH to be REBORN in John 3:5

Example of being filled with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

So your good with them?

If water baptizm is not nessary then to you we can be saved with out getting rid of our sins.

Do you agree with that?

If a person is saved with out being water bapitzed why do it?

JESUS did it to Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

You keep giving me instructions but fail to back up what you say with HIS WORD.
