Some subscribe to what is known as replacement theology. They reject the idea that God has any purpose for the modern nation of Israel. I find this patently absurd, for reasons I've already stated.

This morning I was listening to the late Derek Prince, who was literally there at the rebirth of the nation of Israel. He knows the scriptures as well as anyone, and better than most. He quoted one that I've overlooked to date and that answers a claim made by superessionists.

In the book of Revelation, John was receiving a vision of the last days. Most scholars believe this was written about 95 AD. Jesus was well and truly ascended, glorified and ruling and reigning. This is how Jesus is described: (Revelation 5:5)

Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Replacement theology has no place in a believer's life. It can lead to antisemitism, as many Jews found to their cost. Salvation is still of the Jews. To show contempt for Israel is to belittle God's plan for that nation. We should be supporting Israel with our prayers and, if we able, with practical help. The world hastens to condemn Israel for Gaza's situation, ignoring the fact that the people of Gaza brought it on themselves. Many Israelis have lost their homes because of missile attacks, farmland has been destroyed and many farms were abandoned because of constant attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas.

I do not hear of aid convoys pouring into Israel. I do hear the constant lies about aid centres been shot at by the IDF. The reality is that Hamas has murdered many who seek food for themselves and their families. Hamas seeks to control aid distribution. They profit from it by selling it and they steal it to feed their fighters.

The world is under the control of Satan. We should not be surprised if the world hates Israel. As the church, we should know better.

Because God's salvation is eternal. Did you not read what I said? Jesus is still the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Do think God's word is a plaything to interpret as you see fit? Why do you think Jesus appeared that way to John? And the temple had been destroyed by then. There was no going back to the Old Covenant. Do you know what a graft is? We are described as being grafted in. A graft does not kill the tree. And it is plain from scripture that eventually Israel will turn to Christ. It's happening right now. No, not everyone, just as many who claim to be Christians have only the name and no reality.

Yes I agree salvation is of the lion of the tribe of Judah (that's a no-brainer), but that is a singular Jew, and you said salvation is still of a plural form of that word, which makes it sound like people living today have something to do with salvation. If you are simply saying that salvation is still of Jesus, then yes of course it is, but why would anyone think that had or could change?

Replacement theology ran straight into the gas chambers of the Holocaust. Martin Luther was one of the biggest instigators of this. Hitler kept his sermons with him, the Nazi's used his sermons to justify what they had done. Both the Catholics and the Protestants repented of this heresy after the Holocaust. But it continues to raise it's ugly head, the devil makes sure of it.

i agree replacement theology is terrible. imagine replacing the one seed of abraham, Christ, with multiple seeds(plural).

derek prince was all about teaching christians have demons, not a fan of the guy.

you said that the world is under the control of satan, then why should we support israel? you mean to tell me they arent of the world? the israelis are americans, russians, germans. they have the same type of lifestyle as the western world with their gay pride parades and sodomite festivals.

supporting any political entity as a christian is a big mistake, Jesus wasn't preaching that, the apostles didnt preach that and its just a massive block in evangelizing muslims. terrible idea to support palestinians or israelis. stay out of that mess and let the fanatics kill each other.

I support Israel because the nation is separate from the rest of the world. Satan knows this, hence the wide ranging hostility from those Satan has blinded. Israel will pay for their wicked ways once more, during the tribulation. To some extent, they've been paying since the reestablishment of Israel as a nation. This has nothing to do with politics. It's to do with the war between God and Satan.

Derek Prince was right about many Christians having demons. That was not his main emphasis. Certainly he knew more than most about Israel, the foundation of the nation and the consequent struggles. I suppose you know that he was living there when Israel declared independence.

Much of the Western world is about to be taken over by Islam. Europe is already well on the way. Israel is on the front line of the conflict. This is as foretold in God's word. It will be ironic when Israel's enemies in the West discover the truth about Islam. Some Christians will be embarrassed when they find out they were wrong about Israel.

All the evil that takes place upon the Jews is the wrath of God.
You can read that in your bible.
God is the one doing it to them.
It is right there in your bible.
In fact God told them
He will punish them seven times more
than the other nations.

And you still to this day
see what they are doing.

God has departed from them.

If God is protecting them then why are they so dependant on the US? God rebuked Israel's/Judah's kings for forming alliances with foreign powers because it meant they weren't trusting him. God hasn't changed. I realize you are deeply emotionally invested in this idea, but it doesn't make sense spiritually

It is very extreme, it is a blatant lie to say Hamas is shooting the children getting food...it is been verified over and over it is the IDF,
the IDF has stated themselves they are heard on tape cheering.

They also admitted to sodomizing their hostages and threw a fit when they were told to stop.

This level of brainwashing it truly scary.
To deny the finished work of Christ Jesus is very serious, when one considers who benefits from this lie that there is a second plan which is never mentioned in the NT, I see your point.

oh i know islam is taking over the west and im completely against it. but for you to claim israel is a nation separate from the rest of the world... thats just simply not the case. its a nation exactly like any other western nation, same values, same people. i cannot tell the difference no matter how hard i try.

just because they paint the star of remphan on their flag and call themselves jews i should financially support the gay capital of the middle-east? no thanks. thats not biblical, God has never done that, the prophets or the apostles have never done that.

Do as you please. Ignore God's word on the subject. That's your right. Perhaps you would prefer to be a Muslim. There are no gay Muslims so you would be right at home in Saudi Arabia.

You do not say where you live. If it is a Western nation, you are almost certainly immersed in a gay tolerant culture. Israel is not distinctive because it is righteous. It has rarely been that since the earliest days after the Exodus. There were brief periods, but mostly a tale of woe. God is working in Israel because that's what He decided to do. Israel is proof that God does as He pleases whatever the plots of the world. You should learn what a graft is. The original stock is not destroyed. And God has restored Israel according to His plan and purpose. Personally, I prefer to be on God's side, not against Him.

i definitely wouldnt prefer to be a muslim, just because they arent openly gay doesnt mean saudi arabia isnt full of closet homos.

the fruit of dispensationalism is so sad. you have turned support for a political entity as a marker if someone is right with God or not. thats the real replacement.

Just my experience, not any kind of scientific analysis, but I have found when speaking to Muslims about my faith, I have not had a bad angry reaction,

......however I cannot say the same for the other group, one lady just about lost her mind on me telling me how evil Paul was and how he destroyed their country, the look in their eyes is really quite something to behold when you speak of Christ Jesus.
