I have been called country, redneck, hillbilly, backward because of the way I talk and the words I use.
Bellyaching is persistent and frequent complaining, wining, grumbling used to express disappointment or unhappiness.
There is a common word used by many today that fits, but I find it vulgar and do not use it..

This is about those who claim to be saved, a Child of God that are always bellyaching about health issues, family problems, issues at church and unanswered prayers, and just about everything in life as if they are the only ones dealing with such things.
Showing their disappointment and unhappiness with God for not answering their prayers to resolve the problem.
They seem to forget how Jesus and many children of God have suffered, and are suffering today as if they are special and should not suffer in any way.

Many of us have in the past or are now dealing with many issues in our life.
We have lost children, gone through family problems, financial problems, issues at the church we are members of, and even health issues that have dramatically changed our everyday life.

While some seem to dwell on the negative others remain positive as Paul was.
Some of you need to read carefully 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 and Philippians 4:11. Notice how Paul approached his imprisonment in Rome as recorded in Philippians 1:1-14.

When you want to bellyache about your problems, remember that God loves you. He loves you so much He sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross so you may have eternal life. Dwell on God's mercy, forgiveness, long-suffering with you.
When we dwell on all God has done for us, is doing for us today, and what He has promised in the future, how can we continue to bellyache?
I don't understand why this is so prevalent among the children of God.

People bring a curse on themselves by complaining.

This world and the lives we are living in it can pull us in and take our attention off the eternal things of real importance.. People simply forget the big picture and concentrate of the side issues that come with this life in this faulty flesh body..

You too Adstar? Many of us, as He continues to conform us to the image of the Son, are seeing how these distractions tempt us to miss the mark.
bless you, friend:)

God is good, but sometimes life still stinks.

The same bible that says to think on positive things also says it is cruel to sing songs to a heavy heart.

Every time I see someone who's down, and some jerk tells him "Smile!" I'm tempted to punch the jerk in the gut and say, "See? Sometimes it's not as easy as you think."

Now if you're talking about CHRONIC complainers, those who never have anything EXCEPT complaints... Yeah, those folks need to get lives. That has to be bad for their digestion, not to mention their blood pressure.

But one should be careful to not dismiss all complaints as bellyaching and try to whitewash life and pretend everything is perfect.

When Alice has an answer
It's a common rationality
She measures her phrases
Tipping the scales of reality
But does she know that it's cold
To sing songs to a troubled heart
Though her aim is sincere
She's missing the mark

She paints her world in yellow and green
Covering over the greys
'Cause life's demands are hard to understand
So Alice stays lost in her Wonderland

I said, Alice look around you
People are falling to pieces
Yeah, even the faithful
The ones who still believe in Jesus
But that doesn't mean
They've fallen from grace

But in her landscape
Their heartache is so out of place

She paints her world in yellow and green
Covering over the greys
'Cause life's demands are hard to understand
So Alice stays lost in her Wonderland

So can we talk of shoes and of ships?
Can we talk of cabbages and kings?
And of learning to live
With the mystery of things

Thought #2:

It does get a lot easier to think on the good things when you keep firmly in mind that you will never get to keep anything. Everything we have is temporary. Even our health.

No matter what someone cheats me out of, or what gets wrecked by time and chance, I was going to lose it anyway in a few years. So there's no use bellyaching over it.

No it's not fatalism. Fatalism is depressing. This is just realism.

Most who claim to be Christian hold to an outward form and thus miss the Spirit led life He provides.

Thought #3:

Don't try to apply thought #2 to someone with chronic pain. Let that person bellyache. Different people have different hardwired pain tolerances, so even if you have the same condition it might hurt him more.

My grandmother had scoliosis so bad that her spine was an S across her back. Like, it went left and right, not forward and back. By all rights she should have been screaming every day for the last three decades of her life. But it didn't hurt her a bit. For this mercy, much thanks. But I'm not going to use that to say someone else with back pain should just get over it.

i'm glad to see & hear there is a CC member who is tough minded & spirited. & we Christians know that complaining is a big issue with God. He despises it. never be in a problem, always be THRU it. Jesus is always availbale to assist. actually, complaining is an ingredient in the recipe to promote sickness. God didn't make us to get along with sickness. in hope you are encouraging people all over the world with your great teaching lesson. blessings to you.

Makes me think of the lyrics from a song in the movie Fiddler on the Roof ( one of my faves ) , the song is called : To Life and the lyric is ; God would like us to be joyful even when our hearts lie panting on the floor . Whatever this world throws at us , we must thank God always , everything that happens to us is teaching us something , about ourselves , this world etc . I'm in pain all day every day and have been since my late 20's , I have a heart condition , permenant vertigo and one or two other annoying things 🙄 but through the love of God and in Christ I can cope and even find joy and pleasure in this world , only because I know that awesome things r coming and , I can b there to c and b a part of God's plan . The earth shall be filled with the Glory of the Lord . We shall mount up as if on eagle's wings ! Give God the Glory ! 😁😁😁
