Nah, this is easily fixable if the will is there.
But that's all i would like to say.
I appreciate the site and the people running it. It takes time and technical knowledge to keep something like this running with 99% uptime.
I don't think the host is down altogether - the header and footer frames are working - only the ["main"] content part of the page is failing. (referring to the most recent error indicated in the thread - dynamic page generation failure)
So - it would seem to be database "read" errors at the crux of it.
I certainly can see how the PHP version might make a difference.

Yes - I know - I agree.
I do too - as far as I know - Tracy and Jim have always dealt with people honestly and fairly. I have always tried my best to respect them and trust their judgment where this site is concerned. And, whenever and wherever my conscience allows, I try to be helpful to them and the site.
My 'devil' remark was meant in the 'gremlin' sense of what makes the site go down each time - not meaning anything having to do with human intent or effort - and, was strictly for the sake of humor.

But you also have to factor-in that search engine Bots increase the visitor count.
When I had a PHPBB forum, I used to get 10K visitors from the search engines crawling the site. I was able to see this under the admin section.
But yes, a DOS attack cannot be ruled out either.

Nope. I wrote to him when the Godaddy issue was happening about three months ago and when it was resolved he
said it was fixed but the other issues continued and in fact we've had one more error message added to the mix now.
Cloudflare has a LOT of customers. That's like saying I shouldn't get gas at that service station because a pervert also gets gas there.
And Cloudflare isn't doing the hosting. It's just a buffer, a go-between. It puts up a shield, with servers like CC on one side and users like us on the other, and passes data between servers and users through the buffer. When CloudFlare notices someone is trying an attack, it cuts that connection.
So that's more like saying I reject the army protecting the place where I live, because a pervert also lives in this country so the army is protecting the pervert too.
Or there's something fishy about that christian bookstore because it's in a mall, and there's a Victoria's Secret in the same mall.
