There were at 3 news stories last week that that different AIs disobeyed the directive, coded instructions from their human creators. One of which went in and rewrote code to prevent itself from being shut down.
I find this to be an important thread for Christians to stay on top of, as the AC will certainly use ai for satanic means.
If a demon can be cast into a pig, why couldn’t it inhabit an AI?
In the military we use AI to double down, triple down and so forth what we want to establish as one would classify as propaganda. Pretty much like everybody else is doing.
You don’t even have to be a nerd to realize that AI is no more than algorithms acting like you are coding them. As of now the Russian authorities are quite good at coding this in a way that causes disruption and polarization in the west. Like some of the crazy pro Russian posts on here. I guess those posts are either troll bots or idiots buying into the what the Russian AI is saying.

are you really so ignorant to think a pig - which is a living soul created by almighty, omniscient God - is equivalent to a set of if-then-while loops written by a 20yr old human CS college student?
if so - and also if not - do you really think threads like this and their corresponding rubbish RNC sponsored talk radio shows are sufficiently educating you to deal with the topic in an intelligent, informed way?

Please post links to exactly what 3 things your worldly, alarmist newsfeed deceived you with last week, so they can be properly evaluated.

and here's why knowledge and wisdom will become increasingly important for us:
people like PennEd will receive garbage emails and hear garbage on their radio and watch garbage YouTube videos from people who received garbage emails and watched garbage YouTube videos, and they will go around repeating them and reposting their garbage videos.
they won't know any better.
Computational algorithms are insanely good and sorting out what kind of lies people like PennEd will swallow, and are able to generate thousands of them per minute. algorithms don't care if something is true. They only care if people like PennEd respond to them, and especially, if people like PennEd and ZNP repost them.
and people like PennEd and ZNP will spread those lies. Ignorantly thinking they are sharing super special secret true info, and many people will believe the lies.
and people will get elected to government based on the lies people like PennEd and ZNP spreads, that algorithms generated specifically for them to be deceived by.
and those people, will do great evil.
the problem here is people, not AI.
naive people, and evil people who take advantage of them with extraordinarily clever tools.
screwdrivers and flashlights are not taking over the world. It's the people who abuse them and are abused by them, that are at issue.
so what do we do?
my advice is that we ignore all of this worldly political garbage, ignore all of this luddite alarmist garbage, ignore all of this conspiracy garbage, and concentrate ourselves on our daily lives, caring for our families, and on searching scripture and seeking out knowledge of God.
everything else is a distraction designed more and more intelligently to turn us into pawns of the evil one and slaves of money and power.

Since I was saved in 1972 before the PC, before the internet, and since I have the promise that no one can snatch me from the Lord's hand, including AI the answer is simple, no.
However, the question is too narrow. Will AI be able to steal anyone's salvation? Right now it is so simple to speak the word of God, I post on this forum every day, and in the last year I have been involved in my ministry witnessing on the street to over 250,000 people. It was easy. However, I suspect things will get much more difficult with AI.
1. I anticipate that Quantum computers will be able to exercise complete control over the internet.
2. I suspect deep fakes will imitate online preachers with false gospels.
3. I know that the mark of the beast will put intense pressure on anyone who is a believer to renounce their faith, and tremendous pressure on those on the fence to stay away from the gospel.
4. I also know that if it is possible all these things will be used to deceive believers, and certainly deceive gospel contacts.
I was impressed with Matthew 12:20, particularly the word "until".
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
There is a deadline. Right now we can preach freely, we can teach freely, we can shepherd, we can minister. But the day will come when the age of grace comes to an end. We can serve the Lord and witness concerning Him right up until He sends forth judgment unto victory. When the restrainer steps aside then you can be sure the world will be breaking all the bruised reeds and quenching all the smoking flax.

Because any CEO in these companies can tell you precisely what the rollout is this year, and what they anticipate for next year, etc. It is like a five day forecast in the weather. They are pretty darn accurate.

What they are saying is in the first year you will see at least 20% of entry level white collar jobs gone. They have a proposed rollout of these features and they know it begins this year and at most it will take five years.
Also if all entry level jobs for computer programmers are gone this year it doesn't mean that is where it ends. No, they'll offer incentives for early retirement and they will have layoffs. IMO and I'm not geared up yet, he's hitting some very good points; AI is not a search engine so get geared up and realize what it really is and how to really use it; learn about creating value - which is a very Biblical concept that's not as clear as it should be due to translations:
NKJ Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
CJB Romans 1:28 In other words, since they have not considered God worth knowing, God has given them up to worthless ways of thinking; so that they do improper things.
Most literally this is saying they saw no value in having God in knowledge that is to be used, so God handed them over to a mind of no value (a worthless mind).
What we value is a big deal in the Word. It's interesting we're going into an age where people may have to begin considering the concept of what's truly valuable. God is always at work in interesting ways.
