Becoming a Christian does not automatically stop someone from being suicidal.
In my Christian life I've had thoughts of suicide multiple times. None recently though.
I don't really know what real peace even feels like.
Me too. Being depressed was my normal state. When it finally dawned on me that Christ really was my life and I really did die with Christ - and there was nothing left for me to do but believe - all the worry and stress left. Jesus does not just give peace, as if it is a gift that can come or go. He really is our peace. (Ephesians 2:14, Micah 5:5)

As to your , potential , new name , how about : Last in Line 🤘 ?
I did have to look that one up. That song was one bad mamma jamma. Never gave them a listen to, really, beyond hearing Holy Diver. May be time to correct that. 🤘🏻

Yes - absolutely - you definitely want to come up with something that will be good for you to use for a long time to come...

If I may suggest - a name that is about who you are can be a good approach; however, a name that is about what you are going through - or anything else that might change over time - is very highly not recommended. Consider leaving the "in the moment" pattern of thinking and search for something that is more in the 'big picture' of things - something that represents you in a more larger-than-life sense rather than in an in-the-now sense.

And, of course - yes - it should fit well into this environment.

I hope you come up with a really good one! :)

(I have no doubt that you will - after you have thought about it for a while...)
I also said "or who i am".
During the time I made this name i wasn't really forseeing a change in how I felt.
I also felt an overwhelming need to pick a name to express how I felt.
It was actually originally meant to be a description of how many on this site made me feel at that time. I was taking a lot of criticism on the site at the time. In retrospect some was legit, but it was a bit overwhelming for a long time. Hence the name. How i often was made to feel on this site.
Not to mention feeling that way in God's eyes as well, at that time, when my faith failed.

Oh I shall. I may even look into more of their stuff now. 🤘🏻
Ronnie was a Christian by the end of his life , if u listen to his lyrics u can hear that the knows his Bible . I get u want to b respectful with your name , how about : Take No Thought ? 🤘

I'd never heard that about him. Huh.
Hmm. Not quite my style. I'm bad about picking names. I get so picky and I can be so moody it makes it difficult to pick something haha.

Check out Ronnie with Rainbow , that's my favourite Ronnie 😁 joyful and imaginative 🤘 . Listening to Rainbow : Long Live Rock and Roll album as I type 😁
I have heard Rainbow. I heard one song and really dug it, but upon listening to more I wasn't a big fan.
Sometimes it may be my mood, so I may try again some day.
I get like that. I'll download an album thinking it sounds awesome, but when I listen later I end up wondering why I liked it at all. 😂

They had more than one singer , the other guys were ok but Ronnie was by far the best and , their first singer , so I'd stick to his stuff .

@Subhumanoidal i just picked up fi ve metallica albums.
black.
ajfa
master op
rtl
and kill em all.
I, too, have the black album. It's really good.
Ah, the infamous "One" that helped them spring to next level popularity. I love the drumming in that song.
Master, such an amazing song.
I've heard those too. Don't recall their standouts from those albums though.
I do know the song 'Creeping Death' is the story taken from Exodus about when the Jews in Egypt had to paint red x's on their doors.
Its a cool song, too.

After AJFA was put out his mother died, sometimes. She was a JW and very sick. She refused medical treatment, instead saying God would heal her. Well God did not heal her. This made Hetfield bitter towards God.
That's why on their first four there's not really any issues about God, but on Black there was.

Didn't Dio song for Sabbath for a short bit? Or was that someone else? I know Ozzy was their og singer.

Yes he did , when he sang for them they became the biggest band in the world for a while .
Ha!
I remember, in the 90s, there was some preacher on TBN (i never watched it, but my dad did for a while). He claimed to have sung for Sabbath for a short time. And boy was he holding on to that memory with an iron fist and making sure everyone knew. Haha
I want to say Jeff something maybe?

I looked it up. Jeff Fenholt. He claimed he worked with Iommi on Seventh Star. Iommi says he was never an official member.

I wouldn't worry too much about being attracted to goths, as I understand it it's more of musicfandom/fashion thing. Witches are another matter, steer clear of them.
