The demon slanderers are legion.
That's parable like.
False teachers are corrected and in return false ones call the Christians that correct them, demons.
And others who speak false join in .

Luke 8 tells us demons recognize each other. And work to convince a man he is what they want him to believe of himself.

I rebuke you and your minions.
The mirror sees you. As you vomit your words from the pit.

I live in Christ. He knows my name.

He did not call you a demon that I saw. Could you have is read him?

He said people might be replying to you like the disciples replied to demons who were saying something

He was talking about the way people replied Not calling you a demon From what I saw
I'll presume you mean well but, he admitted it.

And he also said he meant to call others here demons as well.

Excuse me my friend

Abraham was saved in Gen 15.

In the passage you spoke of. He tests our faith in growing in him. Not passing a test to get to heaven

neither one of those passage hint at passing a test to earn the right to go to heaven

You want to do that. Go follow the law. Because that is the true test of if you passed or not
Would Abraham have been saved if he failed the test?

Also there is no mention of salvation in Genesis 15, you just made that up.

Abraham was saved before he even started the test.

The test was about Abrahams amount of faith. Not his salvation

Abraham failed the test many times.

Ah.. so being imputed Gods righteousness is not about salvation. even though even Paul in Romans 4 declared it was./ and how we would be saved by that same faith.

ok.. I see your name. Trust.

Sadly. I believe you trust in your good deeds (passing the test) . Not in God

I don't think so, because I understand that "belief" and "faith" are used to translate the same Greek word, pistis, in the New Testament.
Oh darn! So much for the hymn Trust and Obey" I sang as a child during the time I walked the aisle.
Can we cut to the chase by agreeing we are saved by God alone?
And that GRFS is simple enough for a child to understand? At least I thought I did and still think I do.

Believe + obey = trust/Faith?
No

Belief means I believe something, but I do not trust in that something, or I am not confident in that thing

Faith equals I have trust or faith in something

Belief may or may not have works (a person may believe but have faith in their works) or may present itself in a licentious way in which it has no works.

Trust or faith in the mode of salvation (we are saved by grace THROUGH FAITH not of works

But after salvation. there will be works.

How does what I said indicate disagreement?
you said

Well, the point is both how people react and encouraging them to be good soil.
The second bolded part I do not agree.

You can not encourage people to do good if they are not saved. you need to encourage them to receive Christ first. THEN you encourage them to do good

Oh. Well, I interpret the Parable of the Sower as follows:

TOJ #81: Be teachable/humble. [Matt. 13:3-23//Mark 4:3-9&13-20//Luke 8:5-8&11-15] The Parable of the Sower is a fictional story that conveys a literal truth related to several other TOJ: on LGW (TOJ #3), on perseverance (#60), on worry (#40), and on humility (#10). Three attitudes opposed to teachability include: a hard heart or closed mind (v.11-15), a shallow or insincere desire to learn, and worries or materialism. {Matt. 18:4//Mark 9:37}

Scripture indicates that the reason Jesus told this story was because he hoped hearers who were unteachable (a,b & c) would repent/become good soil and accept Him as Messiah, because He loved everyone and was dying to save every spiritually sick soul. IOW, people become good soil by becoming teachable and receiving Christ, after which they will produce good fruit.
Why you disagree with that teaching of GW seems very problematic, so please explain. I think the disconnect is that you view saving faith as a meritorious work ("receive Christ... then do good", implying faith is not good).

the part you messed up on is saying the hope is they would become good soil

they are not the soil. the soil is how they react.

So, you believe Jesus did not hope they would be teachable rather than hard-hearted/closed-minded?! (cf. Matt. 13:14-15)
I believe Jesus told them three responses to the seed (the word)

I do not believe he was telling them to be any particular soil.. this would not fit the language or the parable

In fact. the disciples asked Jesus why he spoke to them in parables

10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given

It was not told for their sake at all. It was told for the disciples sake. so we could learn the mysteries of the kingdom. It shows them (and us) the 4 ways in which people react.

To be fair, I think equation might be a valid one. That is, I can believe a bridge will hold, but I may not necessarily trust that it will. So, I won't cross it unless I have (true faith) that it will hold. Is that not what the math sentence "believe + obey = trust/faith' claims?
