I am sorry to hear that your nieces are experiencing reasons we need salvation. We should remember that our heavenly Father also grieved over the crucifixion of His son. Here are some thoughts about suffering from our website:

An obvious truism that needs to be mentioned is that the happy ending has not happened yet! In between conversion and heaven, God allows our journey to go through various places we would rather not visit: the ghost town of job loss, the quarantined ghetto of disease, the burning village of divided families. History can be viewed as a long “King of the Hill” struggle (KOTH).

But let us take heart from the words of Paul (in Phil. 4:12-13: “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation… I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” I think Paul’s secret is to treat every negative experience as an opportunity for learning some truth that will help us to become stronger persons and better witnesses for Christ. Financial problems teach us to value spiritual riches and to rely on God (1Tim. 5:6-10), physical ailments teach us to appreciate a healthy immortal life in heaven (2Cor. 12:7-10), and unhappy relationships motivate us to resist the devil, even though we feel as if God has forsaken us (Jam. 4:7-10, Matt. 27:46).

The paradoxical truth is that Believers experience joy despite KOTH or suffering (1Pet. 4:13). While not desiring to suffer or praying for problems, mature Christians have a Christ-like attitude so that tribulations only make them merely joyful rather than overjoyed! Christians are joyous because they realize that suffering is only for a season and for good reason:
  1. Pain and sickness due to mortality teach us to center our lives on God and the hope of immortality,
2. Pain resulting from sinful behavior leads the wise to conform to the character of Christ (Heb. 12:4-11, Rom. 8:29),

3. Relying on God’s grace and truth in the midst of undeserved troubles glorifies Christ (2Cor. 4:7-11) and shows the value of LGW,

4. Troubles serve to keep mature saints humble (2Cor. 12:7-12), and

5. God’s Holy Spirit comforts those who suffer and thereby demonstrates His love (Matt. 5:4, 2Cor. 1:3-4).

As Paul wrote (in RM 5:3-4), “We also rejoice in our sufferings (KOTH), because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Our hope is that we gain heaven (PHP 1:21), which is worth any grief occasioned by Faith (1Pet. 1:6-9, 2Cor. 4:16-18, Heb. 12:2). Yes, this life is not heaven yet, although our continual prayer is for God’s will to be done on earth in our lives, but I encourage you to keep on believing God and resisting evil (JM 4:7) until God’s kingdom comes. Do not be discouraged, but rather relax and rest in God’s love as you remember what is really important in life. Have joy despite adversity because of hope!

Thank you for taking the time and sharing that God bless
You're welcome, hope it helps your nieces to thank God that their loved ones are happy or headed toward heaven,
which is what the healing miracles of Jesus were intended to signify.

Some folks may think I am morbid, but for many years I have realized that death/suffering (KOTH) is a fact of life,
so the primary reason for faith in God/Christ is hope for eternal joy in heaven (1Cor. 15:14).

This realization serves to strengthen faith, because there is no better hope,
and so we may pray for God's will to be a peaceful passing on when disease seems deathly.

I hope they realize that God allows suffering in order for their perseverance to witness to the world
the value of saving faith (1Thes. 1:3&7), and their earthly troubles will be far outweighed by heavenly glory (2Cor. 4:7 & 17, Rom. 8:18).

However, I am curious about the faith of their mother and father. What was/is their attitude?
Were they comforted by the Holy Spirit? It is easier to accept a loved one's death when they are looking forward to heaven.

not at all brother this is my seventh decade of life and my position is exactly the quote you wrote here.

for instance my name here “pilgrims hope” “ my nephew created this page for me and explained a screen name what it meant so I thought of this scripture

“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:13-14, 16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I think this world is just to find out where your going to end up with Jesus or not ultimately and that the promises in the gospel is mostly about what we’ll never see or receive in this life but about our eternal home with Jesus if we so choose to believe him. So I’m very much in agreement with you

i have seen God intervene also in this life however and know that at times he does do marvelous things still even today . And so with healings or things I need now ( in my mind ) I try to make my requests known to my Heavenly Father from my heart , and then make sure he knows that I’m leaving it all in his hands and thank him for everything of course

i believe there are still people who have the spiritual gifts

“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:8-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But maybe because we’ve seemingly lost all interest in the doctrine widely Then we aren’t really seeing many of the signs that follow those who walk in it. I’ve seen people who were told by doctors that they have little time , then live many years because of prayer. So I have no choice to believe it’s possible

but my own position regarding sharing Gods word and our biggest concern is about what this experience in this lifetime leads us to eternally

Bout every saved person ever has passed away at some point but ……brother I’ll tell you what when it’s people i love dying every time it happens it breaks a little piece of my heart and soul . Not because I’m worried about most of them regarding salvation but just because I knew when they left it was likely going to be a long time until I saw them again

As you see the generations passing finally it gets to your own and then soon to you .

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die,

but after this the judgment:”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

On our side who still remain in this world it surely hurts and tears at our soul to see them leave . Even the lord began to weep as the people also wept in grief for Lazarus.

Death is such a hard thing and those two girls really are having a hard time rhier dad is tbier rock and thoer children rock the head of everything in thier family

Never gets easier my dear sister recently passed away , also from cancer. Now Bruce and also my sister in law just entered her home hospice care for esophageal cancer and we’re expecting it to be days or possibly weeks.

i remember about why the righteous are taken from the earth before thier time , and I rejoice for them as the lord would have me do

it’s just so hard to watch your family go away for a time but gives me a reason not to be afraid and look forward even to when it’s my turn

i dont know brother …. Sorry for rambling on here but thanks for the conversation and good word

Thier entire family is Christian raised on the Bible kids could quote a few scriptures by the time they could talk real well you know that kind of thing

a lots of issues and struggles and everything like any family eventually has but have always kept faith . Thier mother died when thier youngest daughter ( who has no issue she believes what I do and has no anger at all just sorrow ) but she was 13 I believe and thier mother died from cancer.

And they had a couple more unexpected tragic deaths also . Tbier dad , my bro , has five daughter and a son. And his clan has really had so much hurt , they’ve never been reacting like this until the news of thier dad.

he really is the one who’s always held them together through all of those terrible things that happened . The one who supported and cried with and helped them with anything they needed.

ect you know how dads and moms are especially when one has passed away . And so I think what’s happening is they are thinking incorrectly as of God decided tbey should lose tbier mom and lose so ma y people and have so many terrible tradgedies and then lose thoer dad ect …..

So they are angry I think which , is understandable when you sort of think about it . I can’t ever remember being angry with God for any reason in my whole life but I can understand it because they think all the bad things that happen in tbe world are his Will for them.
