Trump is simply saying the US will have to tighten its belt, since China is mocking the US as being fat and obese, it won't hurt us to tighten our belts.

As a consumer of dolls for my absolutely gorgeous five year old grand daughter— I get his point and agree with it.

Her name is Wren, and as the only grand-daughter she has my heart. And given the choice, I would gladly pay an extra five, or even ten dollars to buy her a doll made in America, to American standards of health and safety and environmental regulations, than some Barbie made in China for cheap.

I would buy American! -and then send it to her in Canada.

Big cars.
Big roads.
Big supermarkets.
Big houses.
Running AC in the winter.
Big burgers.
Big portion sizes.
Big drinks.

The rest of the world doesn't come close.
So the 2 dolls people will buy, will be huuuuge too.

We can go to the grocery store and buy $1000 dollars worth of rib-eye and treats and junk.......The rest of the world can barely afford a mini carrot.

Trump ran on a populist platform saying we had to pay off our debt, bring manufacturing back to the US, and "Make America great again" referring to the fact that at one time we led the world in manufacturing and since that point all our factories have left. He is doing what he said he would do and what he was elected to do. The people who voted for him are not stupid, they understand what it means to pay off your debts.

We have all gone through that experience and we know what that is like and that is why elected him, to pay off the US debts and make us solvent again.
