Jesus in his sermons requires much of those to live in the kingdom of God. He tells us to give food and drink to the hungry welcome the Stranger, cloth the naked take care of the sick visit the prisoners. He also tells us multiple times to love our enemies. Jesus dresses the two great commandments: do you love God with all are being and love our neighbors as ourselves.
Thanks for your reply. Have a blessed day.
His teachings really are the foundation of what we’re meant to believe . It’s not really requirements but teachings being imparted to our mind and heart because we trust him and believe the one who died to give us life .
All I mean is we should look to secure trust in the teacher and then his teachings become wisdom and spiritual peace rather than requirement to belong
faith as it were. When we realize we were all poor and he came to give us a fortune freely ot sounds different when he tells us to share with the needy it sounds like a family tradition that our daddy is imparting
because we do belong just as any babe belongs before they know and perform chores and duties
Rather than seeing it as requirements we need to meet before he’ll accept us he accepts us and then heals us and cleanses us and fixes our issues as we follow and Kay down self for the lord
“
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:27-30
If we look to the one who loves us who took on all that suffering and pain and sorrow and loneliness just to give us Hope just to save us from the flame …we see the true God and are born into a family already where we’re beginning to learn from the lord his ways for his children
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:16-18 KJV
“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
1 John 5:1-3 KJV
aid in giving begrudgingly like it’s a requirement that I won’t qualify if I lack that’s different from acting n live when I see need I’m able to meet out of his live for people, the same live he gave to us all on the cross. Gods love is the source of our obedience and faithfulness he did it all for us first really is the streamline to offering it to others more freely and willingly and with joy and peace
