soooo phunnneee!

i love anything in resemblance of the old days. neat! we have a lot of amish families living near by.

We have Amish communities here. I used to visit Porter with my dad. We'd see them walking out of Walmart with lamp oil and other such things. On down the highway was a place called The Peach Barn, they had Amish goods. It was our favorite place to stop. On the rare occasion we'd get warm homemade small peach pie with a scoop of homemade peach ice cream. Larapen.

I noticed this has an Alaska license plate. What's going on up there with these fellas?

So I sent this pic to a friend who really likes cars. I asked if this was actually DOING anything or was it just cosmetic?

Oh yes. Goofy looking... but...that is a smallblock ls v8 lurking under that hood and likely has twin turbos judging from the ridiculous exhaust.
Stupid looking...yes . Probably stupid fast and a huge handful since factory that truck had maybe 120hp...
And probably is 500 to 600 now

I'd like to know how those wing mirrors are working out for them.

I was reading the statistics for missing people per 10,000 and Alaska far surpasses all the other states (interestingly, my state is second per 10,000). A sad situation.
Anyway, missing people has nothing to do with the look of the truck. But, admittedly seeing it did make me think of the statistics. Maybe it's a good way to get quickly away from a perp.

I love flea markets! A long time ago, I wasn't able to go to the flea market one weekend (I was probably at work) and my dad brought me back some Amish whoopie pies. They were so good. I started making my own and have made quite a variety of them. I had to ban myself from making them though, because they are too tasty and tempting lol.

the indulgence of food is always ready, willing & able to influence us. i was blessed my whole life i n that i eat a lot of food but do not gain weight. that's because i'm a landscaper & drummer. i just reminded myself of the time i lost 7 pounds in 1 hot summer night drumming a band gig!

And then there's this.
tomohawk.jpg

dodge v-10 viper motor. They made one as a prototype which sparked intrest so
they made another 12 at $555,000 each. Top speed is unknown last time I checked -
couldn't find a rider that actually wanted to try it.
Note; this isn't the bike itself but a photo of a model that's for sale

edit - top speed estimated at 420 mph. 0 - 60 in 2.5 seconds
