First they claim they don't know if they believe sound doctrine or not, then they claim we don't have to believe sound doctrine. The next logical conclusion is for them to claim there is no such thing as sound doctrine. It keeps getting worse for those who refuse to believe sound doctrine.

When you will not be specific, I just come to the conclusion this thread has some personal significance and it is not really a discussion about doctrine.

I do find it troubling this is a common theme for you.. reading the bible always in a spirit of condemnation.
Why do you believe you didn't receive grace from God to believe correct doctrine. :(

do you believe this person is a believer?
A "Believer" (a person who has been BORN AGAIN of the Holy Spirit, and, by FAITH, cleansed of their SIN) can easily become part of a Denominational / Doctrinal / theological system that encompasses both TRUTH and HERESY. I'm part of one myself (the Assemblies of God Denomination)!!! However I've learned to "Eat the meat, and spit out the bones", by virtue of familiarity with the Bible, and what it teaches. Christianity isn't about "Doctrine", or "Theology", but about living FAITH and relationship with God. Romans 14 gives some insight closing with: "Whatever's not of FAITH is SIN".

Some denominations are more fully in accordance with the Biblical record, and some denominations are riddled with Paganism, and false doctrine / practices.

"KNOWINGLY" is the issue. it's rather a contradiction. A Christian would find it difficult to impossible to ACTUALLY BELIEVE anything that they KNOW to be false!!!

Are you really claiming God won't lead you into believing sound doctrine?

Correct doctrine is doctrine which is not wrong.

Which specific correct doctrine would you like to discuss?
I already stated the essential doctrine for salvation.

Ephesians 2:8 states: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God." This verse emphasizes that salvation is a free gift from God, not something earned or earned through human effort, and it's received through a person's faith in the offer of salvation.

It is not of works and therefore the gift cannot be lost, revoked or forsaken.

Your turn.

Correct faith is believing the correct doctrine of Jesus Christ. Those who ultimately do not believe sound doctrine are not of Jesus Christ and they are not of the elect.

There isn't a verse like that but there are verses like this:

1 Tim 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
The condition for being born again has nothing to do with doctrine. Sound doctrine is for those who are born again. You are like many believers. You do not know the difference between being born again and the ongoing salvation that occurs after being born again. This is what is meant by working out your salvation, and the salvation of the soul.

God saves through the death, resurrection and shed blood of His Son. Salvation (as in being born again) is God's business. Revelation 7:10. It's also found in the OT, psalms 3:8 and 62:1.

That is because those who ultimately refuse to believe correct doctrine are never born-again.
