In that case I got two little old questions...

1. What does it matter to you if girls gain weight if you can't see it? For that matter, what would it matter to you if your own wife gained weight? You can't see it.

2. How do you know about all those pretty girls in Los Angeles? Did you see them for yourself or is it something you just heard about?

I was going to ask something similar. How does a blind person rate beauty? Or understand someone being overweight? Is he grabbing at people to see how fluffy they are?

I can't take credit for that post though. Some friends of mine made those comments in chat. They also made a comment a lot like yours about grabbing girls to see how fluffy they are.

I told them I was going to steal their comments. If I tell them I'm going to do that, it makes it not really stealing, right?

Karlon, I'm truly sorry for what you've been through. I know you've mentioned the abusive household several times and I'm very sorry for that.

I have a friend who, statistically, probably should be dead because every odd was stacked against him, but God helped him not only turn his life around, but thrive. God truly does miracles.

It's just that... From reading other posts here, I think we have other millionaires on this site who also inspire people without announcing their wealth and sounding like others can somehow to relate to it. I gravitate much more to the "millionaire next door type," the one who drives an older car and wears everyday clothes. But that's just me.

However, we all develop our own communication styles, and I'm sure you're helping someone out there.

It's just that, could you at least follow your own rules? You snapped at any anyone you saw as not sticking to the subject of your first post -- and now just posted your entire life story, which, while inspiring, still doesn't seem to have anything to do with you asking women why they gain weight.

And if this whole fiasco has all been about a blind man who is judging the appearance of women he can't see, then I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to this thread.

I have a friend who was slim when she married but over the years has gained weight and has a myriad of health issues. She's told me she's tried to lose weight so many times BUT her husband refuses to give up the sweets, chips, sodas, etc and as many of us know, it's a lot harder to eat healthy with that junk in the house. It's almost as if he's trying to subvert her efforts.

I find the comment "So, if a women was large when the guy noticed her, he wouldn't have asked her on a date!" a bit odd. There are many men who find larger women attractive. I wasn't exactly a skinny-minnie when my husband met me. He said he appreciated a woman with some meat/cushion and was attracted to chubby me from the get-go.

Now I'm pregnant with our 10th baby and, yeah, I had a hard time getting back to my pre-prego weight with the last two so I'm larger than I've ever been (and I hate it!). Yet, he's still attracted to me. I have plans to get my diet and health under control after baby is born but I also have a health issue (throat stricture) that makes it difficult to eat like normal people. My husband is on carnivore and I'd LOVE to be on that eating plan (especially after seeing how it's improved his health and helped him lose over 100lbs) but I'm currently limited on what I can eat without choking to death. You'd think being restricted on what foods my throat will allow without killing me would make me thinner, but it's the stupidest unhealthiest foods that my throat will tolerate. Foods that are too high in useless calories. It's frustrating. I'll need to get my throat stretched again (next year) and then I'll be able to get serious about eating healthy. Anyway, those are my "excuses". I have never and would never "let myself go" just cause I caught me a man.
Now shaving my legs? That's another story! lol

I'd also like to point out that women have a LOT harder time losing weight than men. In the past I've pushed and struggled and fought food temptations and exercised and hardly lost any weight. Versus my husband who can do a few pushups, eat one less meal a day, and the weight falls off him. We ladies are BUILT to hold on to weight so we can sustain life.

He also is a business man who doesn’t dress like it. Yet is super successful. Has a carpet cleaning business across the country for decades that he barely runs. (It basically runs itself) He has multiple house flipping businesses across the country. He even went to Los Angeles Film Academy, while I was living with them. He was a pastor for a while and still does Bible studies at his house sometimes.

I moved in with them when I was 15 years old and have basically been around their family till about a year and a half ago, when his son and I had a falling out.

Here in Oklahoma, we love food. We literally have an official state meal. Other states have an official state food, but we are the only state with an official state meal. And you could have at least 3 meals from it. Our official state meal is: chicken fried steak, biscuits & gravy, bbq pork, blackeyed peas, corn, fried okra, grits, squash, cornbread, pecan pie, and strawberries. In other words y'all, we're all thicc here!

i said, "legally blind", not blind. i wear specially made contact lenses & eye glasses. the technology concerning lasics correction has not gotten to the point where it can be performed on me. 1 issue is the my cornea is to thin & another is i don't meet the requirements for FDA approval.
