Sounds to me like a browser hijacker. Something that forcibly redirects your browser from where you want to go to where it wants you to go.

How to remove a browser hijacker
If you observe any of the above signs or have reason to suspect that a browser hijacker has been installed on your device, try:
- Clearing your system’s DNS cache to sever connections to malicious software programs.
- Utilizing a program or tool that deletes browser hijackers and modifications or one that scans for and removes spyware.
- Deleting suspicious programs, especially any you recently downloaded.

i went to " Christian chat " on my site list, the same one i have used to get here for years, and a few times i got this site, a few times i got the go daddy " Christian chat has timed out" a few times..

No problems here, just can't reach the site occasionally. You might try clearing your cookies; if you get a rogue cookie sometimes it can cause this behavior. Then disable third-part cookies.
