Does this have relevance to 2025 when the church in Pergamon is gone and the entire city itself is just ancient ruins with nothing there. This referred to the temple of Zeus there.

There seems to be more than one person/place/thing that can satisfy the riddle. But it would need to be a kingdom with 7 heads that rules the world. I know many people think that the beast is an individual, but I think it is a kingdom. An individual doesn't have 10 horns/kings that are part of him. That's why I don't think the beast is Solomon, but Islam is one possible candidate.

It all sounds rather tenuous and cryptic. I don't believe that God presents His word to us as some kind of cryptic crossword puzzle. Certainly we have to study it, and compare scripture with scripture, but I ncannot agree that we are supposed to apply numbers from the letters that form names to work out what God's word says.

My theory is that the Beast will be head of a composite religious organisation. It will be Roman Catholicism, Islam and Judaism combined. They all claim to be "Abrahamic religions". There is a lot of effort to bring about a merger in the name of ecumenical unity. There is a building in Qatar that houses a mosque, synagogue and RC meeting place. Time will tell.

God also told Abraham that Ishmael would have many decendants. Im thinking muslims were part of the bigger plan for violence against Israel. Especially the closer we get to the end. And maybe to produce the antichrist.

The Lord raised up Babylon to punish Israel(Jeremiah 25:15-29)
