I agree BRICS is one among many who are setting up trade relations elsewhere. The USSR by the end of the cold war was so broke they could not pay their solders salary and ended up with their naval fleet in piles on the beach. I myself cannot imagine it being a good thing to walk down the same path.

Other countries have been planning and preparing for this for years.
America "the war state" thinks they do not have to plan ahead they can just war their way to their goals.
May be part of a plan even the EU is building up the war machine. Russia has been increasing their military since around 2011-12 and so much that it's becoming apparent that it's not just about Ukraine. Why does Russia need a military large enough to invade fifty Ukraine's if Ukraine is the only goal. Or is Europe the goal? Off to my yard work for now. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-hikes-national-defence-spending-by-23-2025-2024-09-30/

Without saying where I live and where I plan on moving to before the collapse of the United States empire, most people where I live will try to escape the collapse by going south while I went north a very long time ago. :D
Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

During the tribulation that follows after the rapture there will be no place to hide.

Russia has a long history feeling threatened because of its long border, but that was not really my point.

Yes agree there is a militarization all around, but these nations have also prepared for war in other ways for many years, is my point, not just for the ruling class but for the people, food, supplies etc.,

Do you think that the USA has done the same?

Yes and no. The bunker buster bomb that is a nuclear bomb! Wow, that is designed to take out Iran's tunnels that are 500m below ground. That is amazing.

The B2 bombers and many other planes had a surgical strike on Yemen taking out 1/3 of their military capability in ten minutes without any radar giving them a warning. Wow, that is amazing.

That said, is the US safe from a surprise attack? No. Are we able to handle a three front war (Taiwan, Middle East and Europe)? No. Could 100 Chinese agents already in the US take out the entire electric grid in ten minutes? Yes.

Russia threatened? No, Putin's stated goal is to restore the former USSR. Not one nation has invaded Russia since Germany in WW2. Russia has invaded other nations as well as Ukraine. Russia was weak as water after the collapse of the Soviet Union. No one took advantage of that weakness. Most of Europe and the UK effectively demilitarised after the fall of the USSR. Not exactly the response of nations that seek to threaten Russia. Vladimir Putin is a liar, a murderer, and destroyer with delusions of restoring Russia's faded glory. Only a fool would trust him. The problem is the number of fools that run countries these days.

Historically VERY rare event just occurred. Gold closed above its 31 quarter moving average against the stock market. So yeah, this is kind of a big deal.

Nobody "trusts" Putin. But nobody wants WW3 either.
