If it is not too personal a question, then I would be greatly interested in knowing how you became a Christian when you are surrounded by atheists. Did someone share the gospel with you one on one? Did you hear a sermon online or on TV? Did God just draw you unto himself supernaturally by his Spirit? Something else? If you would not mind sharing a bit of your testimony, then I would like to hear it. One reason why I am asking is because I know so many young people who are in similar situations, and it would encourage me to see how God is still able to reach them.

If you do not feel comfortable in sharing, then please do not feel pressured into doing so. Thank you.

Yeah, I don't mind at all :giggle:

I'm honestly not totally sure myself lol. I guess I've just always wondered about the topic (ex, I would "pray" to God when I was really young even though I didn't totally believe it yet since like you said, I was surrounded by atheists). Recently, I started seeing all these Christian videos on my feed and I also started talking to an online friend, who is a Christian. She basically introduced me to Jesus and was helping me start my journey.

Something that was really eye-opening was soon after I started talking to this friend about her beliefs, I had a really important project in school that I needed to bring in a coin for. It was very essential, and I forgot the coin at home. When I got to that class, I was panicking and about to tell my team that I had forgotten it when I saw a coin lying on the ground in the classroom. I immediately picked it up and the first thing I saw on the coin was "In God We Trust". That solidified it for me, and now I'm here!

Hey all!

I first want to reiterate my thanks to all of you. You have made me feel welcome into CC as well as into the family of God!

I just want to share an update: Today I told my mom about me starting to become a follower of Christ. She was very supportive, stating that she was proud of me for being able to decide for myself what I believe. I hope that her knowing is the start of me being able to grow my faith (perhaps by joining a church or ordering a physical Bible). Thank you all for your support, as you are apart of the reason that I was able to find the strength to tell her.
