@ZNP, if i could give you a recap - this whole thing about Ukraine being the 2nd most powerful army in Europe is a bit of an ongoing joke with this "new" girl from Texas who just joined the forum.
She said that Ukraine is the second most powerful army in Europe.
After laughing at this, i said that Turkey is the 2nd most powerful army in Europe.
Then this other new member who wants to defend the girl from Texas is pulling some stats, and the joke again is that Ukraine doesn't even make number 2 anywhere.
Point is, Ukraine is NOT the second most powerful army in Europe but we can always re-run this joke.
Still,it seems a matter of perspective reporting.Nice, thanks.
So it looks like even on that site, Ukraine is lower than Turkey.
True. The NATO link I shared related to a comment a member had made regarding Turkey.Ukraine is not a member of NATO
Well in fairness there is this 2024 reporting by the Ukrainian press.Ah ok, so Ukraine is not even on that list!
Because our indoctrinated friend from Texas (@Texasgal ) said that Ukraine is the 2nd most powerful army in Europe.
This was her recruitment brochure i'm guessing. And she was sold.

Just my thought also here. It may be that our sister @Texasgal is of Ukrainian descent. She could be reading Ukrainian sources.
In any case, kindness costs nothing.
Thank you for your post. That puts a new light on things and I appreciate your openness.I see that you mean well and God bless you and your family.
Just want to let you know that you’re missing out on a lot of history here and jokes between members.
A lot of people here have known each other for years even before I got here about 2 years ago.
Many members are friends, or they would be if they were in real life.
Also a lot of jokes that I do, are boomer jokes so that’s how we express our friendship to each-other.
Wish you well and God bless you.
She claims she is from East Texas, she is Cajun, and also from Iceland. Now we learn she is also Ukrainian?Well in fairness there is this 2024 reporting by the Ukrainian press.

No,we didn't learn that. I suggested she may be of Ukrainian descent. She claims she is from East Texas, she is Cajun, and also from Iceland. Now we learn she is also Ukrainian?
Why would you suggest this? Was it her accent? No,we didn't learn that. I suggested she may be of Ukrainian descent.
@Eli1 true fact I was engaged to Romanow, descendant of the Romanov dynasty.
They are a fascinating people.
I'm a history buff, I would be asking a whole lot of questions which I'm sure would be annoying.

Which I think is only a step away from understanding Putin's ambition where many think it's an modern Communist model but instead an old style dynasty ambition.
I think he would like to restore the status, be a great power country, but I do not see it as expansionist.
The situation with Ukraine has a long history and it is not black and white.
