Isn't the Temple the "holy place" mentioned by Jesus in MT 24:15?
The temple will be rebuilt prior to the great tribulation. The great tribulation will begin when the abomination of desolation is seen standing in the holy place of the coming rebuilt temple.Who believes the Temple of God will be rebuilt in Jerusalem during the Tribulation?
--------------------------------------------------------------------What does the bible teach?
1Co 3:16-19
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Eph 2:19-22
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
In temple is mentioned in Revelation 11, 14 and many other places. It is always talking about a heavenly temple.
The temple is made up of people.. all people Jews or Gentiles there is no difference.
Gal 3:28-29
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Rom 3:29-30
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
The literal Temple is a distraction
We need to focus on our hearts not the building of a physical temple.

I would agree with you here GWH
Yes and no.
Thats your answer. Im still undecided. I see that WE are the temple of God, but it also seems as if a physical temple is meant.
I realize some are trying to change the concept you are making with body as a temple versus a physical temple. But the simplest way to distinguish between the 2 is which Temple will the Man of Sin be standing in? No doubt for some it's their body temple.Who believes the Temple of God will be rebuilt in Jerusalem during the Tribulation?
If it is or isn't, it makes no difference to the Spiritual Temple or the Heavenly temple so it doesn't make it worth worrying about.--------------------------------------------------------------------
Not focused on question in post 1
Will the physical temple be rebuilt?

Before I begin, let me plainly state that this response is not aimed solely towards you. Instead, it is for everyone's consideration.Yes agree, 2000+ years of focus and energy in the wrong place.
It is really very tragic.
2 Thess.2:4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
How is this scripture fulfilled unless the temple is rebuilt?
