Romans chapter 9 will tell you, if you're willing to listen.
What was that responding to?
Romans chapter 9 will tell you, if you're willing to listen.
Yes, and the incarnations. Both of which are beyond my understanding (but not beyond my belief :^)
I have also wondered this myself, but feared it would be deemed heretical by others. Is it possible that the Father can do that as well?
I think the "clayton" with regard to divine omniscience as including foreknowledge of as yet uncreated souls' choice whether to accept grace without determining such is analogous to God’s omnipotence, meaning that He can do everything except “disown Himself” or not be God (2TM 2:13)--NOT that God can perform logical absurdities, such as creating a rock too large for Him to move.
These two conundrums are incomprehensible, IMO.
The existence of a thing or Being is defined not just of what it is but also what it's notWhy would God create/make someone if He already knows they are going to choose to be evil and go to hell?
God is God. All we know about the Father is made possible by the Son. I don't know the answer to your question but logic says "why not"?
John 14;7-9
7 If you have known me, you will know my Father too. And from now on you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.” 9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
How come?
Because only the Son has two natures. The Father is Deity only and cannot deny Himself. It was early morning when I posted and my thinking cap was still in the drawer.![]()
Not what I was getting at exactly...
It's more like this:
Jesus who is both fully man, and fully God in union.
Denied Himself the right to function as God.
And, in doing so. Made Himself to be as a man... Philippians 2:6-8
Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;rather, he made himself nothingby taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himselfby becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
He is capable to enter into such a state on not being omniscient.
So, when we were created?
He entered into that state. I was God's means to avoid omniscience at the point of creating us!
That way?
In perfect love, he created all men in a desire for them all to love God as he loves God.
What God in Power saw the Son's humanity creating in His mind?
In God's power declared them to become alive at God's appointed time for each one of us!
That way? Our free will was sealed and kept from being overruled.
It was always there.
The answer is a Treasure that had been buried in God's Word!
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:2-3
Ignore my answer in post #50.
Yes but the Son, whom all things were created by, for and through isn't God alone and He can not know things and still be God.
The Father never had a human existence; only the Son did. Perhaps "Spirit only" is a better description than "Deity only".The Father is Deity only???
The Father is Deity only???
Yes, and those treasures are accessed as Christians led by the Holy Spirit learn God's Word--which means correctly interpreted and rightly applied.
Why would earthly parents procreate and have children knowing that their children may choose to be evil and go to hell? Why would God create/make someone if He already knows they are going to choose to be evil and go to hell?
Unless you are an exceptional pastor-teacher, these days very little accurate interpretation is taking place.
God only gives us a few. Not the many we see these days.
Note the following passages and see how they correlate.
Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. James 3:1
Not many should be known. These few will be able to teach sound doctrine.
Such teachers are a direct gift from God's kitchen to your plate for you to digest.
But... Today? What do we get?
Instead of a few good teachers, like it should be?
We now get inundated with all sorts of BAD teachings of God's Word.
Many are seeking teachers to tell them what they personally want the truth to be.
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a greatnumber of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3
Here is how it adds up.
Not many of you should become teachers.
But, today we must deal with...
Will gather around them a great number of teachers.
Satan has had plenty of time to learn how to screw up the works, and has organized his own fake news network in many churches
with all kinds of misleading doctrines. Doctrines designed to appeal to subjective human preference and desire by manipulating Scripture to make something appear to be real when it's false.
That is why we read....
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a greatnumber of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3
grace and peace .....
Very little accurate interpretation/learning is taking place, unless you are an exceptional disciple-learner.
I agree that there seems to be too few of both these days.
In my own case, I was a sponge who soaked up what I learned by reading/studying GW thrice
before getting boosts by hearing Wm. Hendricks, R.B. Thieme & B. Gothard about the same time circa 1978-82.
