Many Europeans and others from outside the USA base their thoughts on the propaganda that fills their lives, just as a minority portion of Americans do.

@wolfwint, the USA is not a democracy, it is a Constitutional Republic, and Americans are probably the most free of everyone on the planet. That freedom was being lost. Trump is trying to restore it. It's a huge job. Those of us who want to remain free appreciate Trump's efforts.

Won't need to opt out since I never opted in. May the Lord guide and protect the man who is probably the best President we've had in modern history, Donald Trump.

Sounds like you're referring to an HOA. People choose to live in an HOA, they don't have to. I live in an HOA by choice. It's a really good one. The neighborhood is where people want to live when they're buying a home because the whole neighborhood is kept in good shape.

I live in Australia. I'm an observer. Some things Mr Trump says and does are outrageous. However, he overturned over 70 years of Arab hostility with the Abraham Accords. He was voted in - that's democracy.

Having worked for a number of managers similar to Mr Trump, I have some idea of his MO. He starts at the extreme and winds it back depending on how people react. He's got concessions out of Mexico and Panama already. It does not always work, but the status quo wasn't changing anything either. So Mr Trump sees his strategy as working at least to some degree.

Those who don't like the way Mr Trump operates should go live in China, Russia, Iran or North Korea. I suspect that they would have a change of mind. And Mr Trump has four years only. How many nations restrict their presidents to two terms only? Some have, only for the leader (Putin is one) to overturn the rule.

It seems that Europe is facilitating the end of Europe by allowing the followers of a mass murdering paedophile to invade in the guise of refugees. Said "refugees" in Britain have engaged in terrible crimes which have been routinely covered up. Meanwhile, Christians are imprisoned illegally for preaching the gospel. It's like a terrible, real life version of "The Bold Gendarmes"

Every liberal is a PERSONAL conservative. They keep a budget. They keep a household. They protect what is theirs.

They are liberal outside of their personal space.

Conservatives are conservatives in their household and outside of their household.

If liberals had integrity....Their front lawns would be full of 1970's rv's. Their carpet would have feces everywhere. Their kids college fund would go to help the folks pooping on their carpet. They would be in thousands of dollars of debt to help the "poor souls" pooping on their carpet.......But NOPE. They want YOUR money and space to do that.

Wish the Red state was that simple but nope moved from Austin to the Big Thicket a while back and found out the hard way from the city marshal that you need a permit to tear down a porch,and then another to install a door kit and if I wanted to build another when I was done I needed one for that. They need to inspect all of this as you complete these task and so they charge for that also. I went to get the permits and mentioned my father had passed away and was I planning a garage sale and they said it was only 10.00 for that permit which is good for 3 days unless I didn't remove the garage sale signs and then they would issue me a citation. But no no HOA just a forty year old mobile home in the woods.

Not sure what your meaning? I'm 64 and Red Texas has been Red Republican Texas half my life with no exception from Bush Jr. onward. So I'm not sure what your meaning by "get rid of" if it's already Republican?

Local government often is blue, particularly in cities. And overzealous officials like to control every aspect of life. It may also be a source of funding for local jurisdictions.
I live in the country to avoid such restrictions, but the church I attend is in a beach community that requires permission and paperwork and fees for just about everything.

I'm a little north of Kountze Texas right between Harden and Tyler county Texas which is like totally Republican for years and years. The only Blue counties are in places like Austin,Dallas San Antonio and some close to the border. I quized them about the regulations when getting the permits because it's in the country and was told they follow the Texas codes on it as close as possible. I moved from Austin where HOA's exist but that's mostly in or around the larger cities.

Bureaucracy, redtape, uncommon sense regulations. Get rid of em. Republican, democrat, black or white.....Bring common sense back.

You know ... i don't know what you were doing when you posted this, but keep doing it again, because in this post i understand you perfectly and you don't come across as confusing at all.

I guess the question here is why do you even live there if this is what you have to deal with?
I mean, i live in a blue state (Massachusetts) and in no way anyone deals with this type of ridiculnessnes.
I did my patio about 5 years ago, there was a crew of workers there with heavy machinery and jackhammers for about 2 months.
Did anyone pull a permit? No! I even asked them "Do we need a permit for this work?".
Nah - they said.
I even put a fence which my neighbour thanked me for it because he was planning on doing it himself.
Did we pull a permit for the fence?
Nope!

So why do you even want to deal with bureaucracy? Avoid it!
I mean this is the point of the government right? So it's small and it's not nosy.
Sounds like your Marshall there has a major chip on his shoulder so turn your town into population zero by leaving so the Marshall can talk to himself.
