Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Ends DEI Madness and Restores Excellence
and Safety within the Federal Aviation Administration

This headline which is from whitehouse.gov: Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Ends DEI Madness and Restores Excellence and Safety within the Federal Aviation Administration – The White House announces that Trump has restored excellence and safety to the FAA. A week later a plane crashes with a helicopter and Trump says it's DEI's fault. So which is it? I thought he fixed the DEI problems in the FAA. Just another reason you can't believe a word this guy says.

Incidentally, the FAA Chief, Michael Whitaker, had resigned on inauguration day amid calls for his termination from Elon Musk because Whitaker had been a critic of SpaceX over safety concerns. So at the time of this crash, there was no one at the helm of the FAA. Why hadn't the Donald already replaced Whitaker with one of his wonderfully talented and smart people?

sounds like pilot error, take off and landings are the 2 most risky times of a flight:)(y)

A nation's enemies, domestic criminals, general public safety, all sidelined for DEI? Isn't that the strongman America needs dispose of with the rest of his buddies; anti 2A, anti free speech/religion, gov't intrusion. Simple common sense.

nothing in my post blames anyone for anything.
Shame on you for that implication.

Boeing has a door fly off mid flight and left astronauts stuck in orbit trying to figure out how to rescue them. A thousand possibilities from manufacturers to pilot error is most likely the cause. To blame Trump over this for getting rid of people not qualified to begin with is not the issue here. If anyone has even the slightest understanding about aerospace this was always a possibility they considered. It's just amazing it took this long for it to finally happen.

Plane crashes are mostly a diversion from things the government actually needs to be focusing on. The vast majority of people aren't going to blame any administration for aviation disasters unless the numbers start going crazy.

Year over year, the number of aviation deaths is as volatile as a penny-stock; but overall it has been trending downward over time.

Anyways, you wouldn't see the impact of a DEI-hire policy change in a week (if that was even really a problem) unless you fired all the DEI hires and instantly replaced them.

Wasn't the helicopter pilot a DEI hire? I read somewhere she was a transgender woman, or something. I can't figure out if that means she was really a he, or he was really a she. But anyway, she clearly shouldn't have been entrusted to such a responsible job.

Just because the DEI madness has ended doesn't mean all the rot it already created in the industries has been fixed. Like when termites are exterminated, it doesn't mean all the damage they already did is auto-repaired.
