@RedeemedSoul this is for you
But those who
hope in the Lord
will renew their
strength.
They will soar on
wings like eagles;
they will run and
not grow weary,
they will walk
and not be faint.

Unanswered prayer?

Yes, many are doubtful, discouraged, and devastated because they "really pray
and believe" that God Will Do For them [ Answering 'Yes' ] as His Word Says will
come to pass.

So what's up with that? Should one "fall away from" The Faith, or, rather shouldn't
one Diligently Study God's Word Of Truth Rightly Divided To know Exactly What God
Is Doing { And Answering some prayers 'No' } Today
? ie:

In God's Previous [ now "on Hold" ] Prophecy/Covenants/Law Program:

Christ, on the earth, TO Israel, taught the twelve how/what to pray!:

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father Which art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (Matthew 6:9-13 cp Luke 11:2-4 AV)
+
How Many believe "these is TO/FOR them" Or, are they?:

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I
do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because
I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that
will I do, that The Father may be Glorified in The SON." (John 14:12-13 AV)

And yet, Today, it just DOES NOT happen [ God Putting "Israel's Program On
HOLD!
(temporarily...)" ]?

God's Answer?: "What Saith [ The Rest Of ] The Scriptures [ TO/FOR us Today ]?"

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15 AV) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

In God's Other Program Of The [ Heavenly ] Mystery/GRACE For:
Today's Body Of Christ!:

(A) we Are Exhorted to "...Make our requests known Unto God!"
(Philippians 4:6 AV) While, At The Same Time, God "Teaches":

(B) Concerning our infirmities, we "know Not" what to pray "as we ought,"
But "The Spirit Intercedeth FOR us, According To The Will Of God!..."
(Romans 8:26 AV)

(C)arefully notice God's Answer TO Paul [ our "pattern" (1Ti 1:16 AV) ], when
he diligently [ THREE times ] "made his request known Unto God":

"And He { Christ } Said Unto me, MY GRACE Is Sufficient For thee: For
MY Strength Is Made Perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will
I rather glory in my infirmities, that The Power Of Christ May Rest Upon
me!" (2 Corinthians 12:9 cp 2 Corinthians 11:23-30 AV)
We will pray for @RedeemedSoul and all others who are discouraged -
More is here:

God's Grace Word for our infirmities!

Study Rightly Divided.png

Precious friends, praying that we are all Encouraged, Edified, and Approved Unto
The Lord Jesus Christ! By our prayerful and Careful Handling Of His Word Of Life!

Amen.

I’ve been struggling with doubts and was very tempted to walk away from the Lord. It has to do with prayers going unanswered. I’m starting to feel like it’s all in vain because He’s not answering.
God hears all prayer and will answer those that are aligned with his will and desire. I have felt like you do many times in the past. Sometimes a prayer is answered without even realizing it. Yes, waiting can be frustrating at times too.

Most times Gods delay is not a no but a not yet, but again it all depends about His will being done and not ours.. You can have all the belief in something coming to fruition but if it doesn't line up with Gods will then expect it to be a no.

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all theses things shall be added to you"

I am sceptical to even respond to this, yet what a most serious outcry....we each have our struggles and tests... I would say one of the reasons I even broach answering this thread, is this has been a most recent teaching on my heart.... the teaching was not to want anything from GOD ALMIGHTY, if we have JESUS we have it all!!!.... GOD in HIS GOOD PLEASURE may give us beautiful gifts, & we know that HE LOVES us..... & HE Hears us...

if you are at this point, it sounds like possibly a test of your heart ( by I digress & speak as a fool, for I have very little information, and unlimited words can only convey so much to the foolish things of the world like myself....

Check your heart...... I will quote scripture as I have been helped by scripture, on this thread from other members.....

JESUS said unto His disciples will you also leave.. & Peter said where shall we go?, for You have the Words of Life.

I will pray for you!

Your first Problem is your Doubt ---Doubt comes from Satan Not God ----if Satan has you doubting your prayers are hindered -----as will fear based prayers be hindered ---unforgiveness ----unbelief ---all hinder prayers -----

Satan can block your prayer ----

In Daniel 10:13, we read of the faithful servant, Daniel, who prayed to God. Though his request was delivered by Gabriel the Princes of Persia, his prayers were—by satanic involvement—disallowed for days

Many do not understand there is Protocol for answered prayer ----you need to learn the Scriptures and follow them --Obedience is key ---read all here

14 Conditions of Answered Prayer
https://www.georgemuller.org/blog/14-conditions-of-answered-prayer
by the editor of www.georgemuller.org

1. HAVE THE GLORY OF GOD IN MIND

Ask yourself: “Is what I am praying for going to bring glory to God?” If it will not bring glory to God, God will not answer.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13).

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31).

2. GO TO GOD IN PRAYER THROUGH JESUS

God will not accept you unless you go to Him through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Tim. 2:5).

3. ASK IN JESUS NAME

Ask in the name and authority of His Son, the Lord Jesus, who alone is worthy.

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14).

4. ASK ACCORDING TO HIS WILL

Ask according and in submission to perfect His will by saying “Not my will, by thy will be done” (Luke 22:42).

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10).

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him" (1 John 5:14-15).

5. OBEDIENCE

If you live a life of disobedience and rebellion, God will not answer.

“And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight" (1 John 3:22).

6. ABIDE IN CHRIST

If you abide in Christ, you will surely have the “mind of Christ” (1 Cor. 2:16) and ask things pleasing to God.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7).

7. BELIEVE

We must believe that God is able to do what we ask Him. God does not like unbelief.

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:22-24). ---------

I say ----Very Important verse here FOLKS ---and a hard one ----
believe that you receive them, and you will have them-----your pray is already answered -----God already knew what you were going to pray for ----

“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23).

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways" (James 1:6-8).

I say ----Double mindedness hinders Prayer

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Heb.11:6).

8. DON’T ASK AMISS (IN THE WRONG WAY & WITH WRONG MOTIVE)

If we ask for something that is not for our spiritual good and for the glory of God, God will not answer.

“You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures” (James 4:2-3).

9. DON’T HARBOR SIN

If we have unconfessed sin, God will not hear.

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18).

"Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear" (Isaiah 59:1-2).

"When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood" (Isaiah 1:15).

10. FORGIVE OTHERS

Make sure you are not harboring unforgiveness towards someone before coming to God in prayer.

"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses" (Mark 11:25-26).

11. ABIDE IN THE WORD OF GOD

If you abide in the Word of God, you will surely ask things that are in the will of God.

“One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination" (Prov. 28:9).

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7).

12. BE PERSISTANT

Persevere and be persistent in your prayers!

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened" (Luke 11:5-10).

13. DELIGHT IN GOD

Delight in Him! Let Him be your chief delight and the joy of your heart.

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).

14. WAIT ON GOD

Wait on God! His timing is best!

"For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him" (Isaiah 64:4).

"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalm 27:14).

"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass" (Psalm 37:7)

I'll be praying for these myself. Maybe the jobs you're applying to aren't what God has in mind for you. And we know God is willing to accept anyone to be saved so we will believe this will happen (y)
Redeemed Soul... we plant seeds and another waters,
& The LORD makes the plants grows.... sorry to say this but it sounds like your young in the faith & or understanding.... we can not make people Christians in all I understand thru prayer.... & perhaps your prayers of your friends salvation will be answered in GOD's Timing not ours.....as for your job, I will pray specifically for you for this.... a general prayer.... out of work, that can be tough.... take care

My prayers for a job and for my friend Aiden’s salvation. Aiden at one point told me he believed and wanted to be baptized but now says he doesn’t believe because he read Nietzsche. So it’s like my prayers were in vain.
According to James 4, we don't get what we ask for because we have the wrong motives. We want it our way, not God's way. Ask God to show you how to pray for the things HE wants you to have.
As for your friend, it takes time for God to lead someone in. Plus, God has His own plan & timing how He does things.
Remember how patient God was to save you, now be patient with God to perform His miracles on your friend.:)

Biblical Christianity isn't like a Hallmark card... all of the apostles suffered, and we are promised trials in life.

1.) God is not obligated to answer all our prayers with a "yes" - it would actually be sin if he did.

2.) But we are obligated to accept God's will for our lives, regardless of his answers.

3.) The ultimate purpose of prayer is not to acquire things we want, but to submit ourselves to the will of God.

There are verses explaining all of these things; people in this thread have already posted a lot of good verses.

Not sure if you have read the Bible from one end or the other but if not you wont have a clue whose telling you the truth from whose just talking. If not and I know it's a whole lot of reading so just look for the Bible in audio and start in Genesis and get it straight from the Scriptures. Don't listen to anybody on the internet until you have listened to the Bible over and over because until then you wont know whose explanation of it matches the Scriptures, If you listen to the Bible from Genesis to Revelation it's coming straight from God through the Scriptures. See Exodus 24:7,Nehemiah 8,Joshua 8:34-35 he himself tells you to do what I'm suggesting.
