Glad you are back so we can all help each other pass some time while having a few giggles. You said you're 'unsure' about your spiritual status, so another good reason to hang out here. God bless & keep you Freddy2000🙏✝✡

Re: your post below, some of us stay away from the BDF because discussions can turn ugly. But it's fun to get in the arena once in a while, lol.

i am still so confused.
reading so many posts. especially in the bible Discussion.

There seems to be no agreement on most of the doctrines.

i guess that what the site for to allow discussion. but it really must scare the unsaved away when they see so many different beliefs in one place.

I think i will try to ignore the doctrine debates.

Yeah, they are basically a waste of time.

There is usually one or two members who claim to know the truth and believe that those that disagree with them are biblically, spiritually, and morally bankrupt. After the questioning their salvation they then resort to name calling.

I tune out the holier than thou types and then go to the Singles forum which is much more upbeat with a friendly atmosphere. My kind of peeps for sure. Coffee and donuts are served there too. That's what is all about.

I believe faith and belief are acquired by different means and surely each shall have
their own personal reflections. All things may not necessarily be in stone, but one's own
heart is likely to be an indication of how or why one may feel the need to change a lifestyle
that may not be compatible with what one is hoping for at this time of it all. :)

Maybe searching your heart? Understand what it is in your heart what your actually searching or looking for...self reflecting ...once your able to know what it is your looking for in that scripture deep inside maybe it helps in the faith aspect ...this is really a difficult question actually....complex

When the woman with the issue of blood reached out and touch the hem of Jesus' garment, He asked, "who touched Me?" and followed up with, "(because) I'm aware that power has gone forth from Me (Luke 8:46)." And Mark 6:56 says, "...And all who touched Him were healed."

A parallel translation of Luke 8:46 renders the word for power as "virtue" in the KJV, and looking for 'another word for' could trail into an entire dictionary thesaurus collection in the attempt to pinpoint the exact spirit of any certain word but the bottom line is that she wasn't reaching out for his garment as much as she touched that 'power' in Him. You could say that she touched His heart, I think.
But, exactly how far of a reach is required of us to make in order to touch God?

And there's Job. I think he also touched this 'edge of His garment' when he said, "My ears have heard of You, but now my eyes see You."

Precious friend, simply:

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing By The Word Of God."
(Romans 10:17 AV)
Amen.

That's the thing the member says they don't want to deliver into scripture to understand the whole faith and belief ...unless I got the statement wrong 🤔
