Scripture says otherwise.

Romans 16:
25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
Kept secret from those without ears to hear. Abraham knew. Moses knew. David knew

Abraham, your father rejoiced that he could see my day, and he saw it and was glad. John 8:56
YHWH your God will raise up unto you a prophet from your midst, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him you hearken; According to all that you desired of YHWH your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of YHWH my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. Deuteronomy 18:15-16
YHWH swore by an oath, and shall not repent, saying, "You are a priest into the age according to the order of Melchisedek. "Psalms 110:4

in Luke 29:26-32, Jesus puts the situation at the time of the flood together with the situation in Sodom, which was also utterly destroyed

there were not racially or religiously mixed marriages going on in Sodom, at least not worthy of mention, but the entire city was ready to attack the nephew of the most powerful man in the entire region in order to get their hands on two angels...

that Genesis 6 means what it says, angels taking human women and producing offspring, is the only explanation that fits scripture.

His disciples I guess didn’t have ears to hear.

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: by which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:18-20‬ ‭KJV

Isa 26:14~~
They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

Isaiah 26:14 "They are dead, they shall not live; they are
deceased, they shall not rise."
or
"Dead, they shall not live; Rephaim,(A spirit/ghost)
they shall not rise."........Destroyed, no resurrection.

All true humans will be resurrected to life or to condemnation. And All OT saints were in paradise/Abrams bosom.....Not prison.
….. how does all your explaining make the scripture wrong ? That tell us after Jesus died he went by the spirit to preach to them who had died in Noah’s time in the flood ?

i don’t reconcile how what you are saying changes what it says ?

“For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What I don’t understand is why you then quoting this makes any sense or is a reasonable response to the scriptures I quoted tbat say what they say about Jesus going to and preaching to the spirits of those who died in the floods of Noah’s time …..

“They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:14‬ ‭

if you’d look to the things Jesus taught in the gospel

“Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭20:37-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It seems like Jesus lived and died and preached the gospel and became Lord of the living and the dead but you keep going back to ot prophecy for some reason and take a verse out of context ? Doesn’t make sense when you understand Jesus

“Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

……. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. ……

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:25-26, 41, 43-44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is the creator my friend he was in the beginning he gives life to the dead it’s what he does and is part of the e message of the gospel, new life to his dead body no one is dead to God until the lake of fire after hell ……after the dead who are in hell are raised up to be judged whoever is cast into the lake of fire and has been blotted out of his book of life then they are dead to him.

until then it’s about corrupt humans on life support headed for death , and a savior who’s showing us the way to live with him forever . So it becomes about repentance and remission of sins , in which man dies , in his sins.that is.

Jesus is God's only begotten son, the firsborn who inherited the promises to Abrahan, Isaac and Jacob. All other sons of God are adopted
if sonhood is inherited from Adam, then both Cain and Seth are sons.

if the chosen cannot mix with those outside, there is no salvation to the Gentile.

He is the same that made the promises.

Israel is Christs inheritance, not salvation. He is that promise, our inheritance through faith, not genetics or ritual works.

Jesus going to preach to dead spirits in prison is another interpetation that doesn't make any sense, because it is written that it is apponted for men to die, then judgment. For what purpose would Jesus preach to them? Another weird idea.

IMO what Peter was saying is that the spirit of Christ proclaimed through Noah repentance and salvation to the unpersuadable people of Noah's day, whose departed spirits are now imprisoned

it's scripture, not "a weird idea"

inconsistent with scripture.
appointed to man once to die, then the judgement. the lake of fire created for the devil and his angels.

only mormons believe you can be saved after you die - even they, only through intercessory baptism, not preaching. look carefully at the implications of what your view is suggesting.

I hope no one thinks this means Christ preached to dead people. It means the gospel was proclaimed to the children of Israel in the wilderness, who are now dead.

For unto us the gospel was preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 4:2
